People who harp about the world being unfair to them because they are single.

Oh, and the price I have to pay for an Executive Trail Pass.

My husband taking a new cup or glass everytime he has a cup of tea or whatever. I don't get it! :dontknow: If he drinks 5 cups of tea, he will take 5 different cups! After all these years you'd think I'd get used to it but it makes me CRAZY!

Muncle, you have to let it go...Anyway my pet peeve is having to see people make my food without wearing gloves i.e., McDonalds, Sub Shops, etc.

Re: Pet Peeves

Okay, a serious peeve. You're in line at the store, any store but especially the supermarket. The woman in front of you waits patiently while the clerk rings up her order and bags the groceries. (I don't mean to sound sexist, but I've noted over the years and it is almost always women who do this.) So, the clerk finishes ringing up and bagging everything and says to the person, "That's be $24.67." It's like the customer never considered that she'd have to pay for the stuff. Only then does she open her bag and dig out her purse. God forbid she has to write a check, 'cuz then it's find the checks and find a pen. Others have money in hand while the clerk is ringing up the stuff or have the check 2/3 filled out before they get to the front of the line. This person seems surprised every time.

Muncle, you must shop at Publix! That same woman must shop every day. She is always in front of me in the line up also. ;D

Muncie: One better! After she digs for the $24 she finds out she only has $21 with her, so she asks the clerk to 'back out' a few items to get the total down below $21. "Oh, the total is only $19 now, that's too low, put this one back on, but take that one off, maybe I'll be closer now". This goes on for an hour to find the right combination, just below $21.

Drives me nuts! :realmad:

ok!
Actually this is a very funny thread. My hubby does not know truth from lies. He leaves his well worn socks and underwear abou 8 inches from the laundry basket. Now how much effort would it take to take one more step so they make it into the laundry basket?? Then he claims without a doubt that he put them in the basket!!

eeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!! Drives me totally up the wall! :cus:

hes gonna kill me!

Oh guys, I totally agree!! And, your right, its always a woman!!! Then I love, after she writes the check, she reconciles the checkbook before handing the check to the cashier. I don't think she has a "clue" how to speed things up.

Skip, I've never seen your example but I'm sure its happened plenty of times!!

Biggest Pet Peeve is grocery store lines!!! And I hear that Florida is worse than L.A., better take more Prozac!!!

What is it with men and their tea cups?

Mine is the same Chels! New cup for each new drink, but the twist here is they are all left on his desk. I collect them every couple of days. Ugh............. :cus:

Then there is the socks not in the laundry basket thing, find them everywhere cause the dog likes to take them and hide them. Is there a message there?

Re: Pet Peeves

It sounds like the women are hijacking another thread. This is supposed to be pet peeves, not thinks I don't like about my husband. I haven't heard one man complain about his wife. Now ladies let's be fair and open minded. Stick to the peeve please.

Beady are you sure we're not married to the same man??? :o Yes, I call it having a "Cup Sweep" I'll say, "OK, let's have a cup sweep of the house". And I didn't want to mention the underwear, but their EVERYWHERE! What is the story on that? One time found a pair in the car! Still trying to get the real story on that. He says they fell out of his workout bag!

Muncle:

Aren't you glad to be single, while this thread bashes husbands??? :joke:

More or less on subject, I'll agree that the little old lady is a peeve. Before I came down here, I used to shop at a store where, all too frequently, the bus from the local very up-scale retirement home dropped half the home's population at the front door. Not a one of them could push a cart without staying in the very center of the aisle. And, they were often seen clustered together trying to figure out where the cereals are, or whatever. And, most of them had been to the same store every week for years!

Ah, well, we too shall probably be there!

I would assume that the dishwasher does the washing and drying of the dishes. Now teach him to put them away in the cubbard. Maybe he will get the idea after he puts way a few cups.

OK OK I'VE HEARD ENOUGH !!!
What about the curling iron always plugged into my wall socket because her's is full of nite lites , air fresheners , elec. clocks , weather radio back up radio, ultra sonic tooth brush cleaner, ultra sonic jewellery cleaner, small tv for the THE TODAY SHOW ,(this morning she chuckled that Jane Paulie is a card and what ever happened to Dave Garroway) battery charger for her camera, her hearing aid, and a radiant heater ............ I've been so worried I finally called an electrician . He wouldn't come into the house , he thought it would explode at any moment .........
And you have the nerve to complain about 5 lousy cups of tea and underware discarded everywhere ..............I'm shocked ,,,,
REMEMBER , ITS TEA THAT WILL KILL YOU .... :-* ::) :o :o :o

Re: Pet Peeves

Did you mention Dixie Cups? How bout this one...(and many other pet peeves)...

---Use a Dixie Cup Monday morning...sit it on sink edge...take another cup Tuesday morning and nest it into the Monday one then use it stacked....take another cup Wednesday morning and keep stacking and using them....throw each one away? Come on now,...do men do that?

---Put opened empty packets of sweetner on edge of counter, 3 feet from trash can, but NOT in trash can...keep stacking them up on counter. Throw packets away? Come on now...do men do that?

---Throw dirty clothes ON TOP of hamper. Open lid and put clothes inside? Come on now...do men do that?

---When putting dishes away from dishwasher, putting them in wrong spot in cupboards. Do men not notice that dishes/glasses have been put in the same place for years and years? Come on now...

---Getting tools out for small jobs then putting them away wherever they can't be seen...like in a kitchen cupboard or dresser drawer. Then.....weeks later when needing same tools and can't find them...wants to know where I put them! Give me a break!

---Cussing and swearing when putting something together and it doesn't fit right. Do men ever read directions first? Come on now...

And you think I'm done....I've only just begun....laughing!

---

C'mon D.C. Fumar. Buy the woman a new television, but if you can hook a VCR up to it, get some shots of J Fred Muggs first.

and my wife leaves her clothes on top of the hamper - what's the big deal about opening it and dropping them into it ????

or we are in the drive thru window at mickey D's or like places and she says she wants such and such, i order it and we go to pick it up and she complains that there isn't a drink - cause she didn't order it (not like it was the first time she ever order at mickey D's)

or sweeping the floor and leaving the pile of debris

or taking out tools and leaving them all over the house

or leaving the electric space heater on while drying off after the morning shower (last thing I do each work day morning before we leave is check that the space heater is off)

Ditto for the oven and stove after dinner

It's a blond thing, but I've been going thru this for more than a quarter century so no biggie

C'mon Johnny & Russ, I realize you're both senior members but you'd best get those eyes checked. At $5000/hour, that wasn't your fries she was going after with her fingers -- at that price, it better not be.
