New look for TOTV
 

All of a sudden on this site every line or entry has of these little blue folders going across the top. It makes it very hard to see the heading of the post, at least me. Does anyone else have this new issue or is it just me? If you do have, do you know of a way to get rid of them? I'm not liking it at all!

I have down loaded adblocker so far so good

Where did you get the ad blocker ?

I use Chrome as my surfer and clicked on tools , extensions. new and searched out ADBLOCKER

I am having a problem with ads blocking my view of the posts. Is what you are seeing ads? If not, what are the little blue folders?

Could you do a snapshot and post it to this thread? I need more proof for Admin.

Every day for last two weeks they've played with a new look to TOTV. At various times of the day and evening. None of changes were an improvement IMHO and thankfully were rejected. Some of the new visual effects made reading difficult if not totally unreadable. But the TOTV Admin wouldn't know if they didn't try.

Wish they'd leave it alone! Mine is a mess! Not enjoyable anymore.

Mine looks like it always has. I do not have adblocker installed.

No problem from my MAC and Safari.

My safari view suddenly has eBay ads all over it that block my view of the posts and have no x to close the! Very annoying and came with my software upgrade

Yup! Green piramids, blue cubes and yellow circles across the top line of every post.
TOTV looks like it has a new intern at the helm. Just the ipad not the phone.

I too had that issue when updated too iOs8. It's fixed now. Don't know if admin did anything, but now all the lines are gone. Give it a few more days. It took 4 days to "self" correct.

I use Google Chrome. I have no problems.

No problems on my ipad with Safari

On every place possible there are these little blue folders.

I'm use a first gen Galaxy tab only capable of old Taptalk. No adds, big writing, no changes better then are new devices. :D

I'm using Firefox on my laptop. No problems here.

No little blue folders on my iPad.

I had this same pop up ad from eBay once today. The really irratating thing is there is no X to close it.

In case it helps the admin figure it out, I haven't upgraded anything recently that I know of on my Windows 7 laptop running IE10.

Edit: OOPS! There it is again after posting this reply! And it floats on the page, always staying in the center of the screen blocking the posts. Hitting the refresh button on the browser got rid of it.

This sounds like some of you may have some malware or a program that has downloaded itself on your computer.

Okay, after all this time, I clicked on one of my TOTV notifications in my e-mail.
As soon as I started reading, 2 E Bay ads popped up.
First time I've ever had it.
I just cleared my cache, ran Malware Bytes and Avast 4 days ago and everything was fine.

Are you saying in this day and age that technology does not exist that would allow them to play with different visual effects that would not be live and seen by the users of the site? That would surprise me!!

My TOTV looks like it always has on my PC. But on my Ipad it's a mess.

nothing new (thank goodness) on my desk top/ laptop (Firefox), iphone or ipad (Google).

I have my display setting on -- Screen resolutions at "1024x768" and my Color quality on- "highest" cant see the adds on the left side of the screen

I like Malwarebytes at malwarebytes.com. It's free too.

I'm using Google Chrome browser and have not had any problems.

On my iPad I have all white things that look like paper clips all over the place! No problems anyplace else except TOTV.

I have not read all the threads about the new look. I will say in my case somthing is not working correctly with the site. I have a line of boxes that say ' club' which are brown in color and are half hidden . I have an I pad and I am not getting any pop up ads but the pages sometimes seem to overlap.

For me, the look of TOTV hasn't changed and I don't get any pop-ups. I'm using Windows 7 and Firefox with Adblock Plus.

That has nothing to do with the problem we are seeing. These ads pop up in the actual thread.

I have the exact same (good) experience as champion6

To get AdBlock Plus for Firefox, at the top of the Firefox Window:
Click Tools> Add Ons> Extensions> AdBlock Plus

For those users who have experienced this issue - can you tell us now as of 9:00 PM if you are still experiencing this? It is not and has not happened to us so we have not been able to replicate what you have been experiencing.

Seems to be ok now, will report again tomorrow.

I only had the one time, yesterday, when I got 2 EBay pop ups. Never had any other problems.

I am the OP and all of the little blue folders are still here. It is 10:56 pm and I just now logged on hoping they would all be gone. I am using my IPad mini and they are everywhere...lol

I should also say I am not having any problems with pop ups and this is the only site I am having trouble with that I have noticed.
