New iphone 6
I called AT&T in Sumpter Landing to see if they had an IPHONE 6. They told me they did. I got in my car and was there in 10 minutes. When I got there they said they just sold the last one. :blahblahblah:
I am looking for feed back from anyone who has the Iphone 6. Not sure if I want the plus or the 64GB. |
I understand that the big Iphone 6 can get bent easily..

I was able to get the last 3 from sprint on Saturday. One for myself, my wife, and my son. They are all the 128 gig because it's what they had and the special deal through sprint was due to expire today.... So far we all love them. Didn't see a plus. They said they hadn't received them yet. They didn't even have one for display. The standard 6 is a good bit larger than my 5s was so I didn't even see the need for a plus.
|
Oh and still haven't been able to get a good case for it. Everyone is out of those.
|
You may be able to order one on the phone with ATT. I plan to order my new phone this week. Try chatting with the customer service people at www.attwireless.com

I went to the AT&T store in Sumter Landing last Wednesday and they were all out. I ordered one for myself, a 16 Gig and one for my daughter, a 64 Gig. I had mine delivered FedEx on Friday at 10:00am. My daughters however, is showing it wont be in till October 20th. They say the 64 is the one most purchased since they did away with the 32's. I felt the plus was too big and needed two hands to operate. I like to slip mine in my pocket and the plus was just tooooooooo big.

I plan to trade in my iPhone 5 for an iPhone 6+. When available, will buy unlocked and go with Cricket @ $45/month as a Carrier. I currently use Cricket. (Cricket uses ATT towers)

I have the new IPhone 6. I did not get the plus. I have an IPad so, I do not need the plus which is quite large. The phone is thinner than the 5. Some men have put the 6 plus in their back pockets and when, they've sat anywhere the phone has bent. I cannot comprehend how anyone could fit a 6 plus in their back pocket! The regular 6 is 2 5/8 X 5 1/2. It fits in your hand comfortably and feels very light. My husband has the dark grey and when you cover with a case it just looks like a black phone from the front. I have the white/gold and when covered with the case all you see is the white face. I did get the leather cases from apple. They feel very good in your hand and vs the plastic, it does not make your hand sweat! I do like the 6 and the camera does take, amazing pictures!

I am one of the crazies who got up at 3am on Friday the 12th and ordered 2 iPhone 6 Plus 128gig gold phones to replace my 5 and my wife's 4s.
Since I got in early enough, they both arrived by UPS on the 19th. The phone is the same size as a Galaxy 4 and I never heard any complaints about that phone's size. It fits into my front pants pocket fine. The best thing is I can finally read all of the pdf and Word contracts I receive for review when not in the office. |
Hmmmm...... Over 10 million iPhone 6's sold and 9 complaints about bending.
Seems to be a non-issue.... |
I bought an iPhone 6 on the 25th. I was told by att that it was back ordered. It would ship in 4 to 6 weeks. It showed up three days later.
The iPhone 6 plus is way to big. The iPhone 6 is perfect |

I Made Money Getting The 6!!
I ordered a 128 GB from Apple, along with a nifty leather case. They both came on the morning of the first day they were out, delivered by FedEx. Setup was a breeze by following the Apple setup assistant. (I was upgrading from a 5s though.)
The best news, and the reason I ordered the iPhone 6 so early in its life, was what I could get by selling my 5s. I scouted around the internet to get the best price, which was at Amazon Electronics Trade In (http://www.amazon.com/Electronics-Trade-In/) Amazon paid me $364 for my iPhone 5s. I paid $300 to upgrade from my 5s with 64 GB of memory to the 128 with the 6. So even with doubling the memory of my phone, I made $64--more than enough to pay for the nifty leather case and still leave enough for a large Papa John's pizza! Such a deal!! |

A Papa John's pizza cost $64 in The Villages? |

(a very small number in the scheme of things) to bend an iphone 6 and 150 pounds to bend the samsung galaxy. The iphones new operating system has been held up because it doesn't work, so you cannot as yet use the new software to give you the new features promised.....the only thing apple does well is marketing, what is it three or 4 new versions in a year that the apple bots must have? HILARIOUS!!! |

Yeah, everybody knows all Apple products are total trash. Give me a break. |
Did you originate a new 2-year contract?

Yes

I am not sure how the Verizon 2-year contracts work but I assume it is similar to AT&T. Essentially, AT&T will charge you $15/month for a new phone plus the upfront costs. This amounts to $360. Assuming $300 upfront, you essentially would pay $660 for the phone with AT&T. Assuming the Verizon cost was about the same with your 5s, you essentially got back half the cost (or more) of the 5s phone with your trade-in. That strikes me as a pretty good deal since tech depreciates very fast - iphones seem to hold their value. Good luck with the new phone.

Heheh. Still pains you to give them any credit, doesn't it. |

OK, that is different than AT&T. While AT&T does have a couple of different not-contract plans, the 2-year contract has essentially 2 prices. If you get a new phone, the 2-year contract price is $15/month higher than if you bring your own device (say you bought a phone elsewhere). You are essentially paying $360 over 2-years for the phone plus any upfront costs. If you have been on a 2-year contract where you got a new phone when the contract started, at the end of the 2-year contract the price will drop by $15/month (the same as if you BYOD) since you have "paid off the phone". The contract at this point is month-to-month.

With ATT is it possible to pay phone off early and then get it unlocked allowing us to move for example to Cricket-- also owned by ATT?
