Where is the best "tire" store?

Where is the best auto "tire" store ... for service and price?

Looking for some place close to The Villages.

Thanks,
Gary

Sam's or Costco

Barnett Tire in Leesburg. Family business that has been there a long time. Price shop and they will probably beat or meet any other offers.

Tirerack.com has arrangements with local garages to receive and install the tires which you purchase from them .
They have the best prices I have found for brand name tires such as Michelin . It`s at least worth a visit to their site to get a price quote .

We have used Costco for a number of years and cars. Prices are fair, they have coupons occasionally in their flyer and they rotate the tires for free.

Tire Round up on 441, just south of 466. Honest, helpful. Tomorrow they are having a car wash fund raiser 9-2 for the owner's wife who has stage 4 lung cancer. Those who know this place, please support them in this time of difficulty.

Best off researching on the web. Most places offer free rotating and balancing once a year and some offer free road protection.

Find your tire size and then find the best price and services.

I think Sams Club is the best. They sell you tires , batteries , windshield wiper blades. You can also do a search on this subject and find a lot of info about local tire places around here.

Wildwood tire would get my vote. Just can't find a better place. Family run business, ask for Matt.

Very happy with Sam's. Good price plus free periodic balance and rotation on my 90,000 mile Michelins. They don't align, unfortunately.

Wildwood has GREAT prices on tires! VERY customer friendly.

Wildwood folks are nice, but their prices are a bit higher, asked to price match a competitor said no.

I second Tirerack.com. The web site is very helpful to determine what type tire you wand or need. For instance I wanted a tire that would grip the road. I have a front wheel drive Edge and I needed good traction for pulling my boat up a ramp. Front wheel drive is not particularlly good at pulling boats up a ramp. The local guys don't normally address those type of issues.
I think I got the best cost and the web site recommends several local garages to do the install. The tire I selected had way better traction than the factory tires. The have a softer compound so they probabbly won't last as long but they work for what I want. That's the point choose the type tire you want not what a local dealer has in stock or is pushing at the time.

I ordered the tires and selected the Pepboys garage in Leesburg to do the install. The tires were shipped direct to the store and were there in two days. The store was very gracious and didn't seem to mind the fact that I bought from Tire Rack.

Very good experience. And like I said you can choose the type of tire and of course brand.
