Trouble with the Homes part of The Villages
 

For the last few days I have not been able to open any of the pre-owned open house listings in the Homes section of The Villages. I can get into the new house open houses and any other parts of this, just not the pre-owned. I tried on my computer and my IPad. At first I got a "network connection" error message and now I'm not even getting that. If it is a connection problem, how come I can get into everything else? Any ideas?

Wow, then I really don't know. Today I am getting a "not available" and do I want to "reload" which I clicked but that does nothing. I have literally gotten into this site for months and never had a problem. Plus, like I said I can get into the new homes open houses. I don't know what to look at to change. I have absolutely no trouble with any other connections on my computer or IPad...just this.

I've been having the same problem on TV website. After a few minutes, I get a message 'internal server error' and the site closes down automatically. It has to be their website since it doesn't happen any other time.

That's exactly what is happening to me.

This has been happening to me for at least the past week, and since I'm not that computer savy, I have no idea how to fix it. I'm hoping that the website operator will eventually fix the problem.

I look at that pre owened homes every morning on my desktop, and don't have a problem at all. However, I was at lunch with a bunch of gals last week and one said that she was having the exact problem you all were having??? Maybe you should call the sales office?

It seems that others are having trouble with this so I would think that anyone who has a pre-owned with an open house scheduled might mention it to someone.

I have also had trouble for the last couple of days. Sometimes it will open and sometimes it won't. Maddening, for sure. Also, quite often the virtual tours are "unavailable". If my home was listed, I wouldn't be a happy camper. They need some website help!

You're funny Kathie but it's not a server problem. Now I know I'm not the only one and I am getting into all the other facets of a TV and other listings, just not pre-owned open houses. Those who have open houses should know that this is happening. I don't need a house as we just bought in June but I still like looking!

So that's why no one showed up at my open house this week and maybe also why I'm not sold???? DAGNABIT!!!!!!

No problems on my ipad

No problems viewing pre-owned homes having open houses on 10/10/2014 on my home laptop, using Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer 11.

my preowned open house won't either, for the past week or so....New homes open with no problem. The other thing is the map...location...for the preowned hasn't worked correctly on my computer for a while, its always touch and go.

but the new home open houses works every time......hummmmm.........

I can get in this morning. First time all week. Is it a fluke or has something been corrected? Good for those having an open house.

I think TV real estate section is terrible. Until a couple of years ago, one could easily search preowned homes. Then it changed to highlight new homes and open houses. I find it very convoluted. I used to look for houses for friends who were interested in moving here. But now it's just a pain. That site needs to be more user friendly!

I will agree that The Villages homes for sale listings have somewhat of a bias for making it easier to search for new homes rather than preowned homes compared to a couple of years ago. You have to "dig deeper" to find the preowned homes for sale.

I don't really find it hard to find the open houses or how to sort out the listings but every once in a while there are problems opening up a listing. Sometimes it might be one or two listings (usually pre-owned) and sometimes it is all the pre-owned listings. It is weird that every other part of this site is fine at those times. Oh well, I'm able to get back in again....for whatever reason.
