royr 10-30-2014 06:06 AM

Does anyone know the cause of death?

shcisamax 10-30-2014 06:30 AM

That's rather young.

2BNTV 10-30-2014 06:35 AM

The Daily Sun did not say anything about how he passed. Needless to say, how great was his accomplishments, in building this beautiful community, that his father started with Al Tarrson.

RIP - Gary.

My deepest condolences to the Morse family,

tainsley 10-30-2014 06:38 AM

As new residents of TV since February, we pinch ourselves every day that we made it here. Mr Morse was a great visionary and businessman. Cut from the special cloth of many that built this great country early on.

So sad to hear of his passing, and prayers to his family. We certainly hope that they continue on with his vision and hard work. And, would be pleased to see a statue of him in LSL or Brownwood, as his Dad's in Spanish Springs.

keywest 10-30-2014 08:08 AM

My condolences to the Morse family. Most of us cannot thank Gary Morse enough for the wonderful place he succeeded in building for us here. RIP Gary.

Rest in peace Gary Morse. Thank you for providing TV for us all these years.

His passing also reminds us that we are in the best but "frail" years of our lives.

CFrance 10-30-2014 08:23 AM

What a shock to read this headline in New Posts. I am so sorry for Mr. Morse and his family, and thank him for making so much possible for so many. May he rest in peace and his family find solace.

Such a shock! I feel like I've lost a family member. RIP Gary and thank you for everything!!!

BTW you can start building The Villages for all of us upstairs so it will be in place when we get there. I want a house with a view. God Bless you and your family.

Cedwards38 10-30-2014 08:29 AM

Our thoughts are with his family.

manaboutown 10-30-2014 08:32 AM

"it's a little piece of Paradise...

I had a visitor arrive from "way up north" YESTERDAY. Took him to lunch overlooking LaKe Sumter (which is much better than 32 degrees Of Minnesota autumn) .

I said I'll take you up Buena Vista then down Morse . We barely had time to see the majority of the community before had to leave. All he could do was shake his head and say "I can't wait till I retire"

Just for one day can we ALL think with kindness of our loved ones that have passed beyond.

May the Morse family feel the comfort and care from us during these challenging days

geri317 10-30-2014 09:01 AM

I feel very sad today.

sunnyatlast 10-30-2014 09:04 AM

My condolences to the family. Mr. Morse's children speak about many things in this video that show how they learned from him and his father, who started out selling honey at a roadside stand in Michigan.....

It's a nice tribute to a true visionary leader:

Like many residents I never had the opportunity to met Gary Morse yet I cried when I read the sad news of his passing. We live in a wonderful community that he and his family have created and built, his name and achievements will live on.

My thoughts are with his wife and family at this sad time.

eweissenbach 10-30-2014 09:31 AM

Kathie I agree...it does feel like using a family member. I'm so sad. Thank you Gary.

jet10s 10-30-2014 09:54 AM

RIP Gary Morse -- you gave us a paradise to live in -- now hopefully you go to live in another paradise.

77 is indeed young especially in light of the fact that Harold Schwartz (his father) lived to the age of 93. Reminds us to live every day as if it is our last because one day it will be...

JB in TV 10-30-2014 09:56 AM

Sorry to hear of Mr Morse's passing.

I know that his family will continue to maintain and develop The Villages as he would have.
