Golf Car Roads
Hi,
I am a new biker and would like to use the golf cart roads and tunnels. Is there a map of the roads and where the tunnels are? Help! |
Re: Golf Car Roads
I believe you can get a map of TV from the sales office ... I believe it has the golf cart paths marked with a dotted line. Have a great time exploring on your bike.

Re: Golf Car Roads
You can order the $5 map from the Mercantile store - 352-753-2129.
It has all roads in TV plus all cart roads. We used it to great success last week in TV. |
Re: Golf Car Roads
Best bet is the $5 map. I too after three years am trying to find my way around in the golf cart. I don't find the tunnels or trails marked very well for a "directionophobic" like myself. My husband tells me to follow certain signs and I can't get lost....LOL, I could get lost around the corner!!!!! Good luck!!!

Re: Golf Car Roads
Given how some drive in the tunnels, I would be very hesitant to take my bike through them, especially if I happen to be on it. I'm definitely one of those who votes for helmets and streets.
However, the best map to get is the one from the Mercantile -- the sale office map just doesn't go into enough detail. |
Re: Golf Car Roads
You can get the same $5 map at any of the country club pro shops.

I got mine at Walgreen's.

Re: Golf Car Roads
You can get the $5 map at the sales offices also.
That's where I got mine. And worth every penny. |
Re: Golf Car Roads
The Country Club Pro Shops sell them and if you are a resident you get your 10% discount.

Re: Golf Car Roads
The $5 map, which is excellent for streets AND golf cart trails, is updated periodically. We had ours for a couple months when the new one came out. Makes sense, given how TV is growing, but just keep it in mind and be sure to get the newest edition.

Re: Golf Car Roads
Hi,
Thanks to everyone who answered my question! Just to let you know, I found out the hard way about the tunnels and traveling on a bike. I went down and through the tunnel but couldn't pump my way up the hill to back on the road. I have decided I should stay on the paths or on the streets until I get more experience. I found out about the map accidentally while in my car yesterday and waiting for my husband to come out of Lowe's. I needed something to look at so I took out the map and low and behold there were the paths and tunnels. Thanks again. Suzanne |
Re: Golf Car Roads
I definitely do not recommend riding bikes into and out of the golf cart tunnels... It can be very dangerous...........
fumar besides speeding golf carts in there , there are also buffalo in there after midnight.... ;D ;D ;D |
Re: Golf Car Roads
BUFFALO!!!! I have seen Bats in the tunnels but no Buffalo.

Re: Golf Car Roads
Oh for the good old days when the maps were free for the asking, at the Sales Office. Cost too much to continue as TV grew so rapidly, maps became outdated very quickly. First time I bought one at a Pro Shop I learned that there was stuff on the map that had not even been built. Guess that's how they tried to get ahead of things so map would not become outdated within weeks.
