IRS admits to $6 Billion in Bogus payments
Over $6 Billion paid in error to Child Tax Credits! That's a lot of money and this is only one of their many screw ups. It's your money. You should be outraged. :swear:

I still am not over their political targeting. The IRS. It is supposed to be a lot of bean counters, not a political espionage unit.
What in the world is happening to this country? AND when something "unpleasant" happens, another news crisis is brought up. I always wonder....WHY, at this time, is this or that scab picked? If you control CNN you control the minds of the world it seems. I used to respect that News network. I know, I just hijacked your thread. Sorry. Back to the IRS. |
|
Of course I'm outraged(sort of)....but...

It's frustrating because we are helpless. We do what they say when they say it.
As another poster said... "What in the world is happening to this country?" |
Here is the solution to a lot of the problems. Too bad the politicians will never let it happen. It takes power and control away from them.

Stumble, bumble, dribble and fail. Another example of government workers' incompetence. Same for the system: no responsibility, no accountability, no punishment, no terminations and probably promotions and bonuses to all for being able to hush it up for at least 6 months. And of course, excuses, finger pointing in all directions, and the blame game.
Bring the next boondoggle on.:mmmm: |
I sent small dollar amounts to lots of people as rewards and we wrote the software to audit for possible fraud. With the amounts of money the IRS sends out they should have a lot of audit rules in their software that should catch a lot of the fraud.

Worse yet 24% of the EBIT credits were paid in error and the government knew it, knows it and uses it as a redistribution scheme:cold:

I can only assume that the head of the IRS's next job will be Gov of Florida

It depends on what you believe and how you perceive things as to whether you think it has humor. It is very hard on this forum to see faces so as to ascertain a person's current attitude. But after having read what a person thinks and believes over time, you can get a feel for their innate personality. If you agree with a person's philosophy it is easier to like them and to appreciate their humor. If you don't accept their philosophy or agree with their values and morals and attitudes, there is nothing funny about them. EVER. They just make you discouraged, angry and turned off. It is sad, that as we get to know each other better, we are more comfortable with some and continually aggravated with others. It seems that politics takes the place of religion as our core intensity as we age. I am not happy about that, but I see It happening to myself and others. We were better off not knowing them so well...perhaps. The bottom line is that we all have good things about us. When we disagree we can't see them. |

You ask me to substantiate my claim. May I now ask why you believe this information is incorrect? The EBIT is on the agenda to be re-worked next year. Want to bet that the populist party will fight it tooth and nail. The federal government is too big too rigid too inefficient. it enacts short term spending programs that go on for years and years without anyone monitoring their need or efficacy. ...and you are questioning my statement?????? |
