Well, we do own a home in TV, but rent it out to snowbirds and then come and go though out the year..so which category do we fit into?..our daughter says we're snowflakes, BUT I can't wait to be a FROG!

Yes, only there 4-5 times a year. Hope to be full time by March next year.

Interesting results so far...72% own homes in The Villages (as do we)...I was expecting a higher percentage of people interested in finding out about The Villages as TOTV is a GREAT source of information about The Villages...with this high a percentage of TOTV people being owners, the reliability and credibility of information about life in The Villages should be quite high...it has been for us...it will be interesting to see the final results...

We do own a CYV that we can only use 1 month a year plus a few side trips. We rent it at other times to help defray the costs.

Yes we own our home in TV although like others are not yet full timers. Even though we don't come down during snowbird time that is what I clicked. When we are not there we rent out via Property Management.

Hopefull to be full time in the not to distant future. ;D

Need more categories for folks like ourselves.

Perhaps "snowbird" category should be relabelled "seasonal resident" .. that would include people who summer in TV. Of course you can't make everyone happy or you'd end up with 15 categories and the statistics would be meaningless.

Sure wish more peeps would vote in the surveys .. it would make it more fun to see the stats.

I agree :agree: as the topic read was about ownership and not rental, which I would think some snowbirds are, although I know there are some who are owners.

Can get very confusing. But love to see the results in polls.

I own but don't live there yet. Not a snow bird and not full time resident, possibly a wanna bee.

We also own and are just waiting for our house to sell and then will be full-timers.* We come and go as we can about every other month and don't consider ourselves snowbirds.* Considering we pay for everything without any one renting from us, I think we are full-timers.

Been in the same boat for three years. Hope to retire for three months next winter and after that, if we can sell our house in the Bay Area, maybe try for six months retirement in 2010. Then do six on and six off for a couple years. Having a paper route is tuff to leave.

We own and are full time residents and love every minute of it!

Just as an interesting sidebar, the percentages, looking at only snowbirds and full time show a 2/3 to 1/3 ratio which has been pretty much what has been previously reported.

We (me & hubby) would like to live in TV, have been looking & looking for the right homes, hopefully we will, cause as they tell us it's Location, Location, Location..and the activities are a must to keep our minds & bodies active.....

Presently where snowbirds I'm retired but my wife is still working So we try to come down every 3 to 4 months for a couple of weeks We bought in the Village of Del Mar a little over 2 years ago and love the location were in walking distance to SS Town Center When she retires i hope we become full time residents :hot: :clap2: :hot: :
