Transportation to Orlando Airport

Anyone have any experience with traveling to MCO (Orlando Airport) except driving my own vehicle...one way car rental, Airport Van........Thank you

memason 12-20-2014 12:21 PM

If going for more than a week, I rent a car from Enterprise in Lake Sumter Landing. One way is about $70... If one week or less, I just use long term parking at the airport...it's cheaper than renting

I'm also trying to decide how to get to the airport. Where do you long term park? I'll be gone for a week. I did q quick search and found this click here
I'm traveling by myself so maybe I'll just go with the convenience of a van. It's all up in the air for now. haha

I use the airport lots...the Blue lots @ $10/day. Shuttle takes you right to the terminal in just a few minutes.

Orlando International Airport (MCO) - Parking

There are certainly less expense options, but this is the most convenient for me.

Private drivers are also available. I've used Vinny's car service (352-205-6606) in the past. Reliable, quick, door-to-door service. I believe I paid $60 each way.

Transportation to Orlando Airport

I have taken a dozen or so trips with The Villages Transportation. I have been very happy with the service. $70 RT from Lake Sumter; another $10 each way if you use a taxi to take you to and from your house to LSL. The schedule is on their website. Note that there is a difference between The Villages Van Service and The Villages Transportation. The Van Service is multiple stops but picks you up at your house. The Villages Transportation is direct from LSL to Orlando International.

My wife had to fly from Orlando to D.C. for business the last week of November and took the Villages Transportation bus round trip. She was very pleased with the service; the bus was very comfortable and she was able to work on the trip to Orlando and back.

We have used both The Villages Transportation and Village Transportation and had absolutely no problems with either. They're courteous, can pick you up at the door and reasonable.

I have also used Vinny's car service and found him to be exceptional. Door to door, always on time and costs less than the airport van.

I use Jan Coluccio who is a Villages Resident. She will take you door to door in a Lincoln Navigator for around $80-$90. Her Telephone is 643-0833. She is a great lady.

Is that per person or per trip?

That is per trip, for two people, each way. Great service, part of B & B III Home Services. We use Jan also.

Airport Van is terrible, at least two hours riding through the Villages picking up people before it gets on the road to the Airport then another hour & 15 mins.

We always use "Fast Park & Relax". Covered and 24 hour security. Always ready to load you up as you drive in because they direct you to the isle where the Van is waiting. Google Fast Park & Relax Orlando. I believe the rate is $6.95ish/day

100 percent agree!

Is Sligo a town, a creek, or what? I know of a Sligo Creek in Silver Spring, Maryland.

pbkmaine 12-23-2014 03:17 PM

I only took the Airport Van once, about 5 months ago, and it was just as you described, about 2 hours meandering through The Villages. I made it to the gate as my flight was boarding. That's too close for me, so I have used the Villages Transportation bus from LSL ever since. But I thought the Van had changed its model to make fewer stops?

Too expensive. Village Airport Van & Taxi does it for I think 40.00 one way. They pick you up at house.

NJblue 12-23-2014 11:23 PM

We like to drive and park at XPress Airport Parking. Even if we are gone almost a month it is cheaper than the van for two people.

Is this the price for the car, or each person?

Only if you travel alone. If you are a couple it would be $70 plus tip for the shuttle. If you needed a ride to LS add another $10 plus tip. My wife and I would rather ride in a Lincoln Navigator door to door.

Sligo is one of the 32 counties of Ireland. It is on the west coast, just below Donegal and above Mayo.
