Obama and his Selfie Stick
While Obama Plays with Selfie Stick for BuzzFeed, ISIS Closes In on U.S. Marines in Iraq
https://images.search.yahoo.com/yhs/...&hsimp=yhs-001 These photos display a level of narcissism and immaturity that is astounding ... this guy is so unfit to be Commander in Chief |

Thank GOD for term limits!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Please republicans, never get a sense of humor. It might brighten up your day. It's much more fun to sit at your computer all day spewing hate and watching Fox News. You probably won't even miss Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert.

I am sure Putin got as big a kick out of this nonsense as we do seeing Putin riding half naked on a horse. What is up with these guys???

I would miss Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert as much as Bill Maher or Bill O'Reily come to think of it they all fit right into the Obama ego profile |

That has to be a number of significance for those who espouse winning 51% of the vote is a "landslide". |

Second ... Clinton planted the seeds for WTC by ignoring Bin Laden and refusing a chance to have his head on a platter (I can tell you for a fact) and the meltdown was tied to subprime mortgages ... check the record on Barney Frank and the boys using the fascist strong-arm to require banks to make bum loans. But, as I say, that's a separate thread. |

These, in my opinion, are the same folks who brought down the last political forum. There, on that forum, the next step was to report everybody as you might do in elementary school. Thus causing all the grief for the moderators. I recall the beginnings of the political forum. When you disagreed with someone, they would go to work..investigate...research and come back strong at you with facts to dispute what you were saying and present solid cases for how they felt. This group is different, and I see no move to change. To those who continually say....."you will not change anyones mind on here"....I say that you are correct, you MIGHT not, but IF those you are discussing issues with would at least make an effort to understand what they are saying in little phrases, BOTH PARTIES MAY LEARN SOMETHING which is how we used to get to the middle in this country. |

Now that's a personal attack but so what, I'll just thank you for your comments and ignore it. I certainly won't go crying to the Moderator like a previous poster did. :) Regarding facts ... I can provide whatever you need on the topics cited. Be my guest and make a specific point ... that is indeed what dialogue is about. |

YOU throw out all the "stuff" unrelated to any thread and want someone else to do the work. If you have a political issue you wish to discuss that is not historical, I am sure you if you started a thread, presented your case, people would be glad to participate but nobody will do the work for you. |

Photos of Obama indulging his narcissism with his selfie stick, and photos of the King of Jordan in his fighter pilot suit ... can there be any greater contrast between an non-serious and serious leader?

If his behavior is to be lauded, I cannot join in...perhaps I am not sophisticated enough to understand his actions and words. |

It's tough to relive those painful election results, but for those questioning the landslide, here are the results. President Obama 332, Mitt Romney 206. Needed to win 270. thhttp://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/special/politics/election-map-2012/president/e landslide |

Where is the harm ? He is the President of the United States, not a rock star and frankly the first President who didnt want that younger generation to identify the office holder of the President as someone they admire, and not especially on of the guys. |
Regarding the selfie stick, I think it is rather undignified for the President of the United States to do that. Out of respect for the office, I just think it looks downright foolish. And considering the state of foreign affairs at the moment, I think it comes across as arrogant. A little humility sometimes can go a long way - not seeing anything like that in this President.

I guess I'm not old enough to be offended by the President taking selfies. He has teenage girls. He may be the POTUS but it is just as important to be a father. To me, the selfies are part of parenting today. Ask your children if they have taken selfies and, if so, why. I think many will say yes and just for fun and something their children can relate to. Even a President needs down time, even if just for a few minutes of silliness. He can't always go out and play golf.
|
The new phones have a built in cameras for selfies. And they are getting better. We now need a good photobomb picture.

There is also a difference between taking selfies with your kids in private, vs plastering them all over the Internet don’t you think? |

if anybody thinks Obama made the selfie/doofie video to show he is a modern father or participating in down time is being overly kind, naieve or not up to date on this guys motivation.
Somebody that continually uses I, me in his speeches has NOBODY but himself in mind when doing anything. The selfie/doofie video is a pi$$ poor attempt to appeal to a specific voter base......the totally uninformed, out of touch, who cares block. |
