Keys???? (Just for laughs)

We have a box of keys, rings and fobs we have kept over too many years.
There are example of every key ever made (I think). Suitcase, ignition, house, boat, other houses and other just about everything else.

It has been a one way box. Something always going in and nothing ever comes out. I have never thrown a key away....I guess just in case one is ever needed....again.

Does anybody else save keys?
I am starting to get close to disposal time!!

Villager Joyce 03-31-2015 02:50 PM

You do know you will need it the second you throw it away.

I kept a box of keys for many years and only threw it away when I sold my house. Not one key ever turned up useful. I don't think they were even our keys, I think many of them had been left in the house by other people.

I have a wooden box with all kinds of keys. Some came from my parents and my grandparents. It weighs a ton.

I'd like that key too.

Key to a '67 Mustang still in storage in Michigan.

Maybe we could work something out. My first new car was a '67 mustang. Any pics? C'mon CF?

have to dig back in my photos file to look. Black. No hatchback. no a/c, power steering or power brakes either!

Did it have an engine?

CFrance 03-31-2015 09:44 PM

Yes. 287 straight eight? (That doesn't sound right...) it makes a lot of noise.

CFrance 03-31-2015 09:45 PM

Has 108,000 miles on it. Still runs like a champ, every summer.

I bet we all have a similar box of keys, some functional, others a mystery.
I've never thought keys count as hoarding tho. Throwing keys away just somehow feels wrong. :undecided:

Yung Dum 03-31-2015 11:57 PM

The only key I never throw out is a church key.

My other key goes to a '66 Mustang Fastback, completely restored (my 7th! restoration). I think your pony has either a 200 straight 6 or a 289 V8, as these were the most popular. There were also, 302 V8, 390 V8 versions also.
