I could never understand why they trash their car with all the wacko bumper stickers. Very bad for the paint job ..,

you missed the point ... it's about the activist idiots putting these bumper stickers all over the back of their cars .... conservatives rarely do that from what I've seen ... liberals however lover to preen in public about their (secular) religious beliefs

In a country of 3 million people there are bound to be wackos on BOTH sides of the political spectrum. You can always find pictures that show irrational behavior and extrapolate that to every member of the group. Personally, I have rarely seen anyone with these type of stickers on their car.

Fair point ... and I agree you don't see much from either side here in TV. However, up in the DC Metro area, cars bedecked with bumper stickers were more common that you might otherwise think ... ie those expressing the liberal wacko point of view.

You took my line, except I was going to say the poster must not have been from, or spent much time in, any city along the northeast corridor. Plenty of cars like that, and I often wondered why would they ruin the paint job on their cars with that trash. Then i would amuse myself as I read some of them while waiting at a traffic light behind them. :ohdear:

On the other hand; have you seen the stickers on the cars in Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, etc.? They often portray a frightening view of guns, race, immigration, and our President, to name a few.

I imagine you would find, for example, a bumper sticker that says "Impeach Obama" to be frightening?

In TV, you would be taking your life in your own hands by displaying certain bumper stickers.

In 2012, there was a letter to the editor published in the Tampa Bay Times from a Villager who had her car keyed and her golf cart smeared with dog poop because she had Obama stickers on them. This really shows people in the Bay area what kind of adults live in TV.

I find displays of the Confederate flag extremely offensive. And save your lecture about it really is just a regional battle flag blah blah. It is now the recognized representation of the CSA. And it is the flag that fought for the right of its citizens to keep slaves. It was slavery that tore apart this nation. And those who say well I just fly that flag or have it on my truck cuz I'm proud to have been born in the South. I'll accept that line as much as some German flying his swastika and saying it has nothing to do with Jews, some of whom are certainly his best friends, just likes the flag as it represents when Germany stood proud and strong. You don't see a lot of black people with CSA flags on their trucks. So when you wear your CSA flag hat, or sticker up your truck I know I'm looking at a racist or a person so devoid of education that he doesn't understand the significance of his display.

Out of curiosity, which do you find the MOST offensive ... the Confederate battle flag or the Soviet Hammer & Sickle flag?

Some folks call it freedom of speech.

Cons refer to freedom of speech as wacko.

We all appreciate freedom of speech until it doesn't agree with our own thinking. Our founding fathers had that figured out.

Actually, the point is more about trashing out a car's paint job by covering it with sticky slogans and bumper stickers
