Scott Walker Interviews

This is a link to an excellent interview with Presidential hopeful Scott Walker. It truly shows the calibre of the man that reportedly the Koch Brothers are backing.
Scott Walker Presidential Bid Self-Destructs On ABC's 'This Week' - Forbes

After reading the interview, it brought back memories of the Katie Couric-Sarah Palin interview.

Well, Palin and Walker seem similar. Both Tea Party darlings and not much upstairs.

When you call people names it is a reflection on you. I am sure you believe
that you are being clever but in reality it is really quite sad behavior as both have undoubtedly accomplished more in their lives than you can ever hope to.

Dear Guest: You did not address your opinion on Walker's response to the immigration question. Scott Walker simply addressed the short version on his view and given the compressed nature of an interview its understandable.
And it is also understandable given the Couric -Palin example you cite. Wouldn't you be close to the vest with a reporter whom you know is out to get you?

Liberals have a real problem with Palin and the very left leaning HBO so much so that the movie they produced about the McCain Palin Presidential run "Game Changer" produced in 2012 is still listed in movie selection. How small can you get???

You did not balance your post with the intestinal fortitude shown by this candidate and the successful result of the very dirty and violent campagn against him in Wisconsin.

Would you be "close to the vest" with a reporter? No, you, as a politician, are on national television and are being asked direct questions. You are supposed to tell what your real opinions are and not deflect the question to something you have a canned answer.

Yes, Game Changer was a great movie. It showed Palin for the person she really is and what a terrible choice that was made in picking her for the VP slot. She was one of the major reasons the Republicans lost.

How did Walker win in Wisconsin? Low information voters and lots of Koch Brothers money.

Remember, this was an interview on This Week. Walker was supposed to show his quick replies to questions - and I am sure his handlers gave him all the question possibilities and told him if he was not sure of an answer, just to deflect the question and go to a canned answer. It was a terrible interview for Walker.

Scott Walker does not have ANY foreign policy experience. The former Secretary of State does!
Walker tried the same technique as Palin in her interview with Couric of turning the question to something for which they have a prepared answer. That did not work for Walker just as it did not work for Palin.

I think that the GOP convention would be very foolish to have Walker as their candidate. It would be yet another big loss for them.

I'm not familiar with any Hillary Clinton's accomplishments as Secretary of State, perhaps you could enlighten me.

Your kidding right? Obama knewknows nothing about foreign policy. Clinton oversaw a broken foreign policy.

I get real amused....to the point of a belly laugh quite frankly....when those who are deicated to a candidate like Clinton.....lies, cheats, steals, cover ups, multimillionaire trying to act like she cares about us, etc.....

think they can qualify any other candidates.

Excuse me....:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

Perchance you should read the interview that was on national television about one of the star Republicans.

This thread is about Walker, not Mrs. Clinton.

Yes your right. We need a super smart candidate ... umm like Mrs Clinton who loves the everyday, Kohl's shopper citizen. She is so smart she can extort $100M from foreign governments while she is serving as Secretary of State

Guest 04-21-2015 12:34 PM

And she's a winner. Gonna be a big bonfire in the villages after this election burning old campaign signs. Hell, morse will have to shut down a whole square to give them all a campaign office.

Great answer!

Even before Hillary said she was running for President, the Republicans abd Tea Party was smearing and ridiculing her. From your ill-written post, Mrs. Clinton is the opponent The Republicans fear most!

Guest 04-21-2015 05:25 PM

Tea parties love candidates like Palin and WaLaker as they possess the same intellectual capacity as themselves. They are afraid of educated people because they don't understand them and faux news has conditioned them to be wary of science and intellectualism. Remember, Ebola will kill millions in the US, global warming is a lie, evolution is heresy, wealth will trickle down to the middle and lower classes, fluoridation of the water is a communist plot, immunization of children is a killer, the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun, And on and on, the anti-intellectualism of the far right is truly laughable, were it not so hideous.

LOL - the Dems fear Walker?

A few weeks ago they feared The Canuck. And a week after that they feared the Paul kid.

After what was reported today, Walker is the Koch brothers anointed water boy

The "intellectualism" of the Left has degraded into Stasi-like police state tactics on the campus intended to suppress free speech ... and enlightened liberals now mandate "gender neutral" bathrooms to cite but two examples.

You guys are slowly going insane ...

I've noticed over the years that liberals/democrats often refer to a "bogeyman" of some type in their political world. They seem to have some type of deep psychological need to run against, rail against or project hate towards some type of "bad guy.' It's like they seem to equate many of their troubles in life with outside evil forces, as opposed to the loser that they look at in the mirror each morning.

A few examples of objects or people to focus their liberal hate on would be:

- Big Oil
- Big Pharma
- Big Corporations
- Big Business
- the Koch Brothers
- the 1%
- Old white males

Muslims historically have shown a need to throw stones (literally) at objects they consider to be "devils" but I think this liberal phenomenon is different.

Can anyone provide insight as to what motivations or psychological needs impel our liberal friends to engage in this type behavior?

How incredibley accurate an observation of repeatedly demonstrated behavior.

Unfortunately we also know from the demonstrated behavior to expect no answer. Or the usual violent swing of suject matter to anything unrelated, unintended or not germain to the question.

To be polite one can only assume the behavior to be sad on so many levels.

I think that is largely because he took on the teachers' unions and you did not find that to be in your own personal interest ... which is understandable on one level.

Maybe it was because Walker said he could be commander-in-chief because he is an Eagle scout, or because Walker compared his kindergarten teachers to ISSL members. This guy needs to go back and finish his college education. Even Sarah Palin got a degree after attending six different colleges.

I would rather have a former Eagle Scout as President than a lying, self-absorbed, money-grubbing shrew who viewed Saul Alinsky as one of her youthful heroes.

Hillary Clinton is looking to rent space at all three town squares in TV, and we will be looking for volunteers to work at the spaces from 8:00am until 10:00pm daily. To submit your application go to 'Ready For Hillary'.

Scott Walker celebrates Earth Day by firing 57 employees tasked with saving the earth. Way to go, Governor Walker. This will help you with the primary voters, but not so much should you make it to the general election.

That's heartwarming to hear about her big tent!

I'm a strong conservative, so I will recruit several of my friends and we'll covertly find a way to work at her offices on the three TV squares. We'll do our level best (within legal bounds) to make sure she does not win. :)
