She simply wanted an opportunity to slam at Mike Huckabee, which is pretty much standard operating.

To some political discussion is demeaning others....a number of posts on various thread about the book on free speech which calls out the new political left and their lack of any understanding, knowledge or care on issues. Just slam the person.

is a liberal smear tactic? The Duggars are tight with many GOP candidates. Josh worked with Tony Perkins, spoke at rallies for GOP candidates.. and Mike did immediately leap to the Duggars' defense. So what part is a smear tactic? Is it the sentence saying that the Duggars are the epitome of extreme right wing values? Maybe it is the use of the word "values" to describe the behavior of the Duggars?

The difference is the president never called out these right wing nut jobs and told them that their policies were causing young children to be molested, while harboring a child molester, like the Duggars do when they rail against transgender people using public restrooms.

Exactly what did you have in mind with this thread and be clear.

If it is about the Duggars, take it elsewhere unless discussion of reality shows is now politics.

If you simply wish to tell everyone that Huckabee said something like whatever took place was inexcusable, but not unforgivable (neighbor lady who keeps up with such things told me that so if I am wrong in what he said, I apologize)not then explain the correlation between what he said and anything political.

That terrible Huckabee...what a demon he is. Now Obama on the other hand was "tight" with Ayers, but denied any association with his views (while standing in his living room)....was ""tight" with Rev Wright for many many years, and was "mentored" (Obama words, not mine)...,but denied association with the racist white hatred speak.

I think it is just another desperate attempt to throw some kind of mud and smear. As the new best seller points out, you folks make a mockery of free speech, or heck as the head of NOW said about our President was demeaning to women because they had the nerve to disagree with him.

He is not alleged to have molested them, he admitted it. And at least 4 of them were his own sisters who he fondled while they were sleeping. And the parents were aware and did not go through the legal system instead went to their church which did not do a child abuse report. Josh was sent to a Christian training center run by a man whose program was pushed by the family, and that man has resigned his position last year amid allegations of failure to report child abuse. Only through a staff person on Oprah was this finally investigated. The cop friend of the family that did nothing with his information is now in jail for several decades for child pornography. This would be a nothing story but for the fact that this family has chosen to portray themselves on TV as the perfect religious righteous example for us all. They have asked us to share their lives and marvel at their success. So their asking for privacy and special consideration for their hurt fee fees is part of the risk you take when you choose to be tabloid fodder for your own profit with a giant skeleton in your closet.

This is all sad, but true.

I would not, could not raise more than three children. I would not could not be that subservient to my husband, but I thought I saw good in them.

When our sexual direction to our children is so rigid that to relieve oneself sexually alone, then something is wrong.

Dear Guest: You may want to recheck your comments. essentially you have been making the argument that neither child molesters or transgenders should be using public bathrooms since either are likely to offend.

I never heard of the Duggers until this scandal broke the other day and I refuse to watch Bruce's painful and misplaced journey from manhood to womanhood if that is really possible, a transformation top medical experts proclaim is a huge mistake undertaken by these confused souls

I prefer not to fill my mind with this tripe but focus on those issues more to this nation's priorities and its survival

I swear realities shows are degrading this country mind and soul

No, this is an excellent thread to attack Huckabee. It has been brought out on this thread about Pres. Obama and his acquaintance with Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright. Turnabout is fair play. Huckabee associates with the Duggars and praises their family values - which includes child molestation by one of the sons. Let Huckabee pray his way out of this mess.
