I believe they absolutely have a strategy unlike the U.S. to convert us all or kill us which they are succeeding in. Very sad to see adults who still don't get it and kids to wrapped up in ipads., cell phones, etc to even give a dam. Perhaps after the next attack, but then its too late if you've lost your child. Their strategy is quite clear ... wait until when a nuke finally goes off in the US, and then chose between two options:

1. All out war (this time to win, not to lose) similar to WWII, or

2. Get a prayer rug and convert to Islam (which I honestly believe some on this board would choose if that's what it came down to)

Ladies and gentlemen. Boots on the ground won't win this one. Do you think a nuclear weapon is necessary to disrupt life in America? This is the 21st century. Access to the internet can screw up everything that matters. ISIS is fighting a new war. Ask any military person who has been to and fought in the Middle East what is going on. This isn't you fathers version of warfare.

It sort of looks like old fashioned warfare to the hunreds and thousands who are back minus any number of limbs.....are these the ones you are suggesting we ask about the type war they lost their limbs in?

Is the beheading and slaughtering of women and children a sign of the sophistication you are crediting the meidevil killers with?

My stance remains the same as to boots on the ground. Reinstate the draft so that we all share in the sacrifice and then we will talk.

I did find a segment on one of the weekly Sunday news shows run a clip about the Iraq military militia saying they will kill any American soldier they find on Iraqi soil.

I agree with reinstating the draft. I think that, after a nuke takes out an American city and people are shocked back into the real world (vs the virtual fun world that many live in), that it will be reinstated. We will then do what it takes to wipe out ISIS and Radical Islam ... destroying cities in Syria an Iraq, and everyone who lives there if need be.

Every generation or two seems to need to learn it the hard way ...

No problem ... suggest you simply continue to ignore or disbelieve the threat of a nuclear attack and simply wait until it happens. As I said, that's what it's going to take anyway to finally wake the country up. The one thing I would add ... ISIS is not the only threat of nuclear jihad as Iran is clearly in that threat category as well.

We have seen that consolidation begin in Iraq, Syria and even in Africa, so your mockery of the other posters is sort of up for its own mocking.

IRAN is a huge threat, perhaps not as immediate but if the reports we hear are correct, we are not negotiating NO nukes...but instead of..delayed nukes. In other words, it appears that we will allow it but make them wait.

I am not making fun nor mocking anyone... This argument, the nuclear threat from Iraq, was used in the run up to the war. And in the end there was no nuclear threat. My brave Gunnery Sargent Marine went to Iraq 5 times and was wounded because the Bush administration flat out lied. And don't bother to say they didn't know it was a lie...they manipulated the truth especially in regard to the nuclear threat!!! 2 buried centrifuges...some threat.

A dirty bomb is much more likely from ISIS than a nuclear strike.

Having served for many years, I have many things that stick in my craw but they are history...this is a threat NOW and PRESENT.

Not being insensitive but often we are told to move on and here it applies since not doing that...moving on...solves absolutely nothing.

Sure, it is possible that a dirty bomb could be exploded in the US. It could be transported here on a container ship to any port city with little chance of detection - or could it?

There are so many safeguards in place now that the public does not know of that chances are greatly diminished.

There have been tries but no known successful attempts to smuggle a dirty bomb here.

Remember, we have to catch all but they just have to get through once.

After reading General McChrystal's book "Team of Teams" you will realize that terrorists in the Middle East use such technology as trucks, explosives, garage door openers and cell phones to terrorize. No WMD needed. Remember 9/11? Cell phones, and box cutters and the knowledge to fly a commercial airliner brought the fight to America. Any coordinated attack with modern communication and the will to die could disrupt any system...Political,Internet,the power grid, you name it. The politicians who run this country, regardless of party affiliation need to cooperate to enhance the Nation's security.

And I will NEVER forgive that past president for what he did during his 8 years....as I suspect many will not forget about this one.

If you do not know precisely where this material is stored, any military strike would not do good.

Not to worrying, if they drop a WMD in the U.S. Or even a U.S. Territory, We will have justification to wipe the entire Middle East off the earth. Problem solved. Unfortunately, these cowards will not force the full weight of our power against them.

Terrorists as in 9/11 scored a major blow and increased National Paranoia without the use of WMD. How much terror has been generated globally by the use of a sharp knife and beheading?
The nuclear option fantasy wouldn't solve the problem. Other countries have Muslim populations. England for example. Nukes would just provide more recruits for the Jihad.

We don't have to use nukes to win. But, we do have to WANT to win and set that as the objective. You sound defeatist to me ... but maybe I'm woring.

We CAN immolate (carpet bomb with B-52s etc) major cites like Raqqa and such. Sorry, the mosques and some civilians go up in smoke with it but to win the war you have to terrorize the enemy into giving up.

Also, we can DEPORT the Muslims in UK and elsewhere. I suggest we give them free one way tickets to any Muslim country of their choice, and encourage them to choose Syria.

This is pretty simple actually ... look at the history of wars for example in the Roman Republic and later Empire. Lesson is ... you either fight to win, or you ... lose.

Very simplistic ideas that would not work, my friend. Carpet bombing Arab major cities would not cause ISIS to raise a surrender flag. It would show the Arab world that the US really IS their enemy and would increase attacks on us.

Deporting all Muslims to Syria just is not feasible and could never work - just like rounding up 11 million Hispanic immigrants in the US and deporting them would never be logistically possible.

I do not have an answer, but I do know yours Is NOT the answer.

One simple action to begin with;
Stop letting them into the USA. Secondly, for those here illegally, give them a time limit by which date they will be registered and on some path to citizenship or they have to get out.

Sound harsh? Not one bit compared to what will have to be done when the USA becomes more populated by illegals than citizens......on our way to second or even third world status.

Our current do nothing with open borders is the preamble to future demise and increasing numbers of poor looking for a handout.

Deport Muslims in UK and elsewhere. Don't need to get rid of 100% but enough to show them we're serious. You have to repress the radicals, so the first ones shown the door are the radical Imams and go on television giving us all the finger. Once we get rid of 20-30% of them, that will likely do the trick.

As I said, there are many parallels in history that show us what works when defeating a hostile population. You have to destroy their will to fight. We are doing the exact opposite at present and making it worse.

I really like Donald Trumps idea of a great wall of Mexico. Have Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico national gard on there two week annual trainging on the wall with rifles. If any mexican comes to close to the wall or somehow crosses it, shoot to kill. This will keep them out of OUR country.
