I just got a friend request from "balloons by laurie".
Anybody know anything about this? Could be a computer hacker??????? |
I received an invite as well. I declined.
|
i got one too and accepted...is that dangerous or something?
|

I went ahead and accepted her friend request.

I don't find that intrusive. The recipient of the request is free to accept (like Bonny) or to decline (like V. Joyce). |
Being "friends" with someone really does not have a lot of meaning does it? I mean it really doesn't affect you one way or the other....and like barefoot said...you have the right and ability to accept or deny.
Don't sweat the small stuff.....life is too short. |
Just so you know........I am not the Laurie of the balloons. I am merely Laurie2. I never could be in the business of balloons. I startle easily.

Not like Facebook where they get access to details and photo's of your life. Nevertheless, I think it's nice to send a friendship request to people you think you would like to know in real life. |
We declined as imagined the slew of messages that will follow in an advertisement campaign for sales and special occasions. We get enough spam in our e-mails, we don't need any in our talk of the villages account.
Anyhow, that is why we declined. We just felt there is an ulterior motive of an ad campaign. |
I wonder how anyone can send a LOT of messages at once? I can only message two people at once.
I just don't like advertisers to try to befriend me. Some are very deserving and nice people after you get to know them...but.. |
if you have to ask , why friend?
I don't understand why people feel a need to friend someone they Don,t know. My rule is never do that. In this case I might say yes just to keep up with trending balloon colors and get valuable coupons for my weekly balloon buying trips!
More people need a plan for how to control their Facebook account. Friending someone gives them access to more of your personal information. |
Darn...I got an invite and I thought she was interested in me....

For me, it's a way of saying "I like your comments and personality on TOTV". |
Barefoot...I agree. I only have a couple of friends and i was flattered they asked me. Even the balloon lady...
I have had no e mails from her...no solicitation from her.... My goodness what does it hurt....if you friend someone and they begin to annoy you ...you can always break the friendship. |

"Do you want to be my friend" |
Bare is right as usual. Asking someone to be your friend on TOTV usually means that you like their posts and agree with their views and enjoy their humor and personality.
BUT sometimes it leads to face to face, and very delightful real friendships. I am so fortunate that has happened to me. |
I'm good. Thank you for your heartfeit apology And explanation.
