Not sure what to do……

I have travelled a lot in my cart and for the 5 weeks or so and there is this 1 PERSON that keeps waving at me. I don't know him but he looks like an nice guy. I am not sure what to do. Do you think he might be flirting with me? :D

My wife has even noticed this. She says I am silly but a wave is almost like a commitment.

Do you think I am just meeting an EXTRA FRIENDLY person? He doesn't look unhappy.

Thanks for listening.

kstew43 06-29-2015 10:16 AM

Halibut 06-29-2015 10:18 AM

CFrance 06-29-2015 10:31 AM

Does he have a strange-looking animal log on his cart? Wave back already!

Bonny 06-29-2015 10:49 AM

I agree................wave back and see what happens.

(let us know)

Villager Joyce 06-29-2015 10:52 AM

Do NOT under any circumstance smile or wave or Make eye contact. Wreck your car(t) if necessary.

tomwed 06-29-2015 11:24 AM

I do a "look away" wave. As I start waving I turn my head so I never know if it was welcomed or rebuffed. This is an advanced skill that requires doing two things at once and not recommended for new villagers unless you are also from NJ. NJ villagers can also substitute a "head high". We learn that one before we can talk.

bagboy 06-29-2015 11:50 AM

One person is frustrated by being waved at, another because no one waves back at them. LOL. ... guess that "nuff said" from me.

How about there was nothing serious about this thread? I took it as a play on another thread about unfriendly no waving villagers.

Uh, I don't think to wave or not to wave should be so frustrating....

tomwed 06-29-2015 12:42 PM

I'm frustrated too. Sometimes I wave too soon. I hate when I do that. I prefer the "payback wave" after the initial "how dee doo".

hulahips 06-29-2015 12:54 PM

Maybe he's flirting with you?

BobandMary 06-29-2015 08:27 PM

Do the right thing all the time. You can't go wrong.

boomerbaby 06-29-2015 08:49 PM

Not sure what to do

He may think he knows you. Somedays I think everyone looks the same lol

Thanks folks for all the helpful support.

I may have waited too long to start this parody post.

My inspiration has already grown to 65+ posts.

Just trying to bring some additional humor to an interesting topic.

I did receive a wave a last week (on the way to Redfish Run) from someone I did not recognize. I hope it was kcrazorbackfan! And I think waved back. :D

Blow him kiss and see what happens

Olyrain 06-29-2015 10:56 PM

Hey we are old and you look kinda, sorta familiar. I always give a hearty wave to anyone that looks even remotely familiar. Wave back each and every time enthusiastically. Sounds like a friend waiting to happen.

Bay Kid 06-30-2015 06:29 AM

All country boys wave to neighbors.

bonrich 06-30-2015 06:51 AM

BE careful, if you wave it becomes a moving target.

snowbird22154 06-30-2015 07:29 AM

You are right. Bro v. Wave, 410 U.S. 119 (1969) is a landmark decision by the United States Supreme Court on the issue of unsolicited waving.

Big O 06-30-2015 04:32 PM

Just don't turn your back on him Don.

elizabeth52 07-01-2015 07:52 AM

Occasionally, here in NY, when I wave at someone, they wave back but they don't use all their fingers. If you choose to wave, make sure you use all your fingers!

dietpepsi 07-01-2015 08:43 AM

if you are not fully committed to waving with your entire hand of 5 fingers, you can be be 20% committed with just one finger. this action most likely will do away with any further need to acknowledge this person.
Hey your in "the friendliest home town" go with it!

MikeV 07-01-2015 11:19 AM

To wave, or not to wave, that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
the waves and head nods of friendly people or to wave arms back and risk having to meet fellow Villagers.
