The Assaults On Freedoms By Progressives
Dear Guests: A couple is fined $300,000 plus because they said they would not bake a cake for a gay wedding. A farming couple from upstate New York are under heavy attack because they refuse with their part time wedding business to all a lesbian couple to be married. Many states are being pressured to remove their Confederate flags. A fireman from Albert Leah MN placed a Confederate flag on the back of his fire engine as a protest against political correctness, for a parade and is now being threatened to be fired. Students across the nation are being harassed by educators for expressing their freedoms of religion or their conservative views. Progressive students talk of trigger warnings and micro aggressions regarding American history, political situation that do not compute in their liberal minds Progressives dealt deep blows to Donald Trump because he spoke the truth about our immigration policy and there is ample evidence in the daily newspapers to support his claims Climate change is a hoax based on faulty scientific evidence whose only basis is profits for renewable that have been proven to be extremely expensive , unreliable and supported by heavily by taxpayers Obamacare and Dodd-Frank are in short dictatorship by government and to add insult to injury ineffective in their intended purpose Perhaps the word is too harsh but all of this is beginning to look like fascism and it is clear progressives are demanding we follow their agenda their rules their dictates irrespective of our political, moral, religious or individual views. The buzz word for them is öffensive" They find white male history to be "offensive" the confederate flag "offensive", refusal to acknowledge the new normal "offensive". But with First Amendment Rights someone is going to be offended. At the risk of being accused of being racist let me say my tastes differ and i am offended from the rap, hip hop culture with all the blink, dirty dancing, offensive lyrics and the same melody connected to every song and the gangster overtones. It certainly is a long way from Nat King Cole. Louis Armstrong and Johnny Mathias But this is their time and so I take solace in my old albums. I select radio stations that fit my tastes In my view its time to push back because if we don't what looks like fascism will quickly become fascism. So ignore the PC think as an individual and your rights to freedom of expression speech religion, etc Personal Best Regards: |
Please explain what you meant by trigger warnings and micro aggressions concerning American history. Thanks.

"A current threat to academic freedom in the classroom comes from a demand that teachers provide warnings in advance if assigned material contains anything that might trigger difficult emotional responses for students. This follows from earlier calls not to offend students’ sensibilities by introducing material that challenges their values and beliefs."
On Trigger Warnings | AAUP "SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Should students about to read “The Great Gatsby” be forewarned about “a variety of scenes that reference gory, abusive and misogynistic violence,” as one Rutgers student proposed? Would any book that addresses racism — like “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” or “Things Fall Apart” — have to be preceded by a note of caution? Do sexual images from Greek mythology need to come with a viewer-beware label? Colleges across the country this spring have been wrestling with student requests for what are known as “trigger warnings,” explicit alerts that the material they are about to read or see in a classroom might upset them or, as some students assert, cause symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder in victims of rape or in war veterans." http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/18/us...uirm.html?_r=0 "The political left has come up with a new buzzword: “micro-aggression.” Professors at UC Berkeley have been officially warned against saying such things as “America is the land of opportunity.” Why? Because this is considered to be an act of “micro-aggression” against minorities and women. Supposedly it shows that you don’t take their grievances seriously and are therefore guilty of being aggressive toward them, even if only on a micro scale." http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/18/us...uirm.html?_r=0 "CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — A tone-deaf inquiry into an Asian-American’s ethnic origin. Cringe-inducing praise for how articulate a black student is. An unwanted conversation about a Latino’s ability to speak English without an accent. This is not exactly the language of traditional racism, but in an avalanche of blogs, student discourse, campus theater and academic papers, they all reflect the murky terrain of the social justice word du jour — microaggressions — used to describe the subtle ways that racial, ethnic, gender and other stereotypes can play out painfully in an increasingly diverse culture. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/22/us...ill-sting.html I am being convinced that many on here do not even realize what is happening in our schools and around the country. Activism abounds I was not the OP on this and just trying to help out. There was a thread on what is happening in our elementary schools as well which all should read. |
And in elementary school as well.....
"St. Paul's Frost Lake Elementary has focused intensely on its black students lately. Administrators and teachers pore over data and ask: If black students make up 20 percent of the student body, why do they account for 65 percent of the suspensions? Why do they lag behind peers in reading and math? The school's "equity team" is an offshoot of the district's three-year relationship with San Francisco-based consultant Pacific Educational Group, or PEG. The premise: Educators can only chip away at achievement disparities if they confront their own racial biases and the ways racism permeates schools. "We are asking our staff to change rather than expect kids to change to fit our comfort level -- and that's huge," said Frost Lake Principal Stacey Kadrmas. PEG's input has spurred districtwide changes in St. Paul, from a push to reduce suspensions to a bid to integrate students with intensive special needs into mainstream classrooms. Districts such as Edina examined reading selections, hallway posters and curriculums to ensure they include faces and voices with whom students of color can identify. Critics say PEG's work has alienated some educators and, in recasting certain discipline issues as cultural misunderstandings, let disruptive students and their families off the hook. Some point to the cost of PEG's services and the scarcity of solid evidence they boost achievement. I am not the one who asked for the explanation, but thank you all for the enlightenment. There is so much going on under the radar, that it is frightening. I wonder how many parents, if they honestly knew what was going on in education today, would choose more critically where they send their children. I am so happy that I switched my son after the 5th grade to a private school that honored the same values that we did as a family. I could see the huge conflict developing in our family when he was attending public school. After the switch, it took time, but I am grateful to say that my son has turned out very well - a critical thinker who is not afraid to stand for what he values. We may not always agree about things, but it's okay because I know that his decisions are made thoughtfully and not because he is following the crowd or ideology or whatever. Ironically, he still remains popular and likable, despite the fact that he probably sticks out in his crowd of peers. Parents need to quit kowtowing to their children's whims and do the right thing!! Every parent I know that wasn't afraid to take that stand and became engaged in their children's education produced as a result upstanding, responsible, independent thinking children. We need more of that if we want to set things right in this country. It starts with the family unit.

How about adding this to the list:
D.C. Residents Say Take Down Jefferson Memorial, Rename Washington, D.C. | PJ Media The media continues to seek out these minority position assaults on America, giving them a validity they would other wise never attain. The confederate flag issue started the same way....same logic....and the media was there to assure impact by isolated special interests being completely blown out of proportion. Unfortunately the silent majority's trigger has yet to be pulled. I hope and pray at some point there will be something that jolts the majority. Maybe when the attack on the flag of the USA comes up for serious consideration there will be an awakening. I am glad I experienced America when it was a true, patriotic, majority rules reality. |
Quote:
As far as the confederate battleflag issue - it is a piece of history and therefore should be in a museum. Please get more credible sources than PJMedia. That is just laughable. |
I had never heard the phrase "trigger warning" before today. I looked it up and recognize it. On television, the warning about "graphic situation and content" before "Law and Order" is a warning for parents to decide if they want their kids to look at the show. I can also understand how a rape victim might be traumatized by watching a show with a graphic rape scene. Those triggers are real! For example, I have had an extremely painful dislocated shoulder accident. I cannot comfortably see a person in a tv or movie situation who has a dislocated shoulder. I can only imagine what the feeling would be for a victim of a sexual assault seeing that on television.
I also looked up micro-aggressions. I did not think before how those could actually be hurtful to others. I am going to try and be more careful in what I say. |
Quote:
Of course I do not believe ALL of the residents of DC want to tear down the Jefferson Memorial or rename Washington, DC just like all of the Americans who do not want the confederate flag treated as it has been in recent weeks!!!! You obviously are aware that the laws of the land do not take into consideration any majority anymore. They respond to special interests and minority representations that meet the current political agenda and amplified for false credibility by the media. Just like one person can get a school board to change something their child does not like in school. Just like one person can object to the 10 commandments being in a public place. Or how about the few who do not want to offend anybody by saying Merry CHRISTmas. Sorry........your notion of ALL having to back a position does not work in America any more......and YOU know it! |

In regard to this statement:
A couple is fined $300,000 plus because they said they would not bake a cake for a gay wedding. A farming couple from upstate New York are under heavy attack because they refuse with their part time wedding business to all a lesbian couple to be married. In both of these cases the "Business" made a religious freedom claim as the basis for refusal of service. Under US law if you are a business for public accommodation then you cannot that claim. All of us should understand that given we all went through the Civil Rights fight in the 60's. Your religious freedom stops at their civil rights....that's the simple truth. |
At this point, my only comment is that I am extremely disappointed in those posters who find any movement as defined in all the links on our young people brains and education.
The snide and sarcastic comments tell me that, in fact, there is a large population who just flat out does not care about the country, only certain individuals within. I am not that smart, perhaps as you who mock, but it bothers me and I sure wish I could understand how this is the right thing to do, as you all obviously all do. Questioning the source is fine IF it were the only source. The words have been defined and those of you who are fine with this....it is your right. I just do not get the mocking tone evident in the posts. Makes you really reevaluate. |

Would love to hear what you think about the entire subject. For the record, yes.....need to follow the law, absolutely. Almost half a grand in fine seems a bit hefty but it is what is, The point, and I am not the OP, but the point is how ALL of our commerce activities are being affected by activist activity. I think he was speaking of the legalizing of marriage between people who just a few short years ago were breaking every states law, and whose marriage was opposed by the President of the United States 3 years ago. The swift movement was a result of unrestrained activist activity in our government. The President did not simply wake up one morning in the last 3 years and oppose it nor did Hillary Clinton. Suspicion is that the activists in California pushed hard with the threat of "no more money" and there are links I could give but they would simply be made fun of. BUT PLEASE do not be so insulting as to compare this to the 60's. The act of gay folks was illegal and still is in most countries of the world, the President and ALL candidates for office were against it 3 short years ago. THIS does not even compare in any way at all to the century old fight for civil rights that reached a crescendo in the 60's and it is a bit insulting to suggest that it does. |
Ok you asked for a complete response so I will honor that request for your other points:
Many states are being pressured to remove their Confederate flags. A fireman from Albert Leah MN placed a Confederate flag on the back of his fire engine as a protest against political correctness, for a parade and is now being threatened to be fired. The Confederate flag was not used after the Civil War until George Wallace stood in the schoolhouse door to refuse admittance into the University of Alabama for 2 students of color. Then the Confederate flags went up all over the south...check it out because I researched this little known fact. Students across the nation are being harassed by educators for expressing their freedoms of religion or their conservative views. Progressive students talk of trigger warnings and micro aggressions regarding American history, political situation that do not compute in their liberal minds I don't see the world in an either or liberal/conservative way. Perhaps that is because I am conservative on some issues and more liberal on others. To me not all news stations other than Fox are the liberal media to be distrusted. As for freedom of religion....my views were forged in grade school when I went to public school from Catholic school. That would have been around 1959-60 when we had to read from the Bible. Being Catholic I couldn't read from the King James version nor could I say "For thine is the Kingdom...." at the end of the Lord's Prayer. This caused quite an issue for the 5-6 of us in the class. We were mocked, treated differently and then when Kennedy ran for President it only got worse. I had never experienced such hatred..... Progressives dealt deep blows to Donald Trump because he spoke the truth about our immigration policy and there is ample evidence in the daily newspapers to support his claims Not sure what "progressives" you are talking about but he has been hit in the pocket book by 9 businesses. I really don't think Trump will stay in the race because of the financial disclosures but its fun to watch. Climate change is a hoax based on faulty scientific evidence whose only basis is profits for renewable that have been proven to be extremely expensive , unreliable and supported by heavily by taxpayers Obamacare and Dodd-Frank are in short dictatorship by government and to add insult to injury ineffective in their intended purpose I believe that there is climate change even the 1 scientist used by the deniers has changed his tune. Obamacare has given healthcare options to people who were not able to be insured. The insurance companies went to far when they refused healthcare to a newborn claiming a "pre-existing condition". There does need to be some controls on banking....they drive this country to the brink in 2008. Hopefully this answers your questions.... |
I am the OP on this thread. Poster #3 and poster #14 have added substance to this topic.
I started this topic because for the last few years I have been following what has been occurring in our educational institutes and because progressives have been targeting certain people unfairly. While I have no feeling either way about her, Paula Deen used an ethnic slur long ago ( in 1960's) and in a recent deposition answered honestly when asked had she ever used that word. Now in my view whether she said it only in 1960 or yesterday, what right do progressives have to systematically destroy her living over it. One CEO quit his job because he refused to acknowledge same sex marriage. Chick Fil A came under heavy fire . I mentioned the fireman from MN, in my original post, to underscore how these vicious attempts to punish people who have every right to free speech continue unabated. The Confederate Flag is under attack. I don't have an opinion way or another concerning the confederate Flag but I do care that those voters who fly it have every right to do so. so the progressive intimidation machine get in full force destroying what they deem offensive Perhaps, I am wrong but I do not see any difference in Southeners celebrating their flag as those Americans that fly their Irish, Italian, German, English and Canadian flags waving from homes, cars or golf carts. Thomas Jefferson said: " No provision in our constitution ought to be dearer to man that which protects the rights of conscience against the enterprises of civil authority . It has not left the religion of its citizens under the power of its public functionaries, were it is possible that any of these should consider a conquest over conscience of men either attainable or applicable." I preface this because I want you to be ready for the blast you are going to get from the gay rights push on their attack of religious freedoms Justice Kennedy intentional left a back door open for the gay movement. They want a rewrite of civil rights laws and The Religious Freedom Reformation Act, etc. Gays abhor the Hobby Lobby ruling and are looking to over turn it. In my view Jefferson had it right. So if you are religious or if you are morally against same sex marriage etc be ready to be pushed, criticized, badgered ,defamed, suspend or fired from your job and taxed to the hilt by the government. The only recourse is to push back hard and to let your congressional/state leaders know that they better push back too or lose your vote. I am tired of being polite, I am tired of being pushed and I am tired of people with no common sense radically changing our society to its detriment Personal Best Regards: |

On the confederate flag issue. I personally understand the anguish on this particular flag. It has, in the past, been at the center of issues. Displaying that flag, especially at this time, shows nothing but insensitivity to others. Taking it from the capitol was a good thing to do. Having said all of that, threatening someones jobber displaying it in a parade when it is not illegal, just very insensitive, is a bit of an overreaction to me. If you check the recent news, you will find the states of Mass. and Minn both now being critiqued on their state flag. SUDDENLY, by the way and that is important to the point I want to make at the conclusion of this post. You, in my opinion, are reading some kind of okay for the confederate flag in the OPs remarks and IN CONTEXT I do not think that is what he is saying at all. It is one factor, IE. THE THREATENING OF SOMEONES JOB. Your response to the education part of the post is a bit confusing. You speak of the media which is not part of what he is saying. There is a movement to almost allow a "time out" if something MIGHT offend you is going to be taught. It is suggested that you cannot refer to America as the land of opportunity because someone might not see it that way. I understand your Catholic school experience, but nobody was filtering what you heard as part of the curriculum. Big and huge difference. And again, read all of this in context I do believe, no...I KNOW that activist groups were up and running with Trump. The money that Soros gave...I think I read he upped the money by ONE MILLION DOLLARS just on this issue to start the online petitions and allow for the backroom pressure given to NBC and all of them. NBC sort of made me laugh with their high and mighty stuff but....all activist driven. Now, that is not a defense of anything Trump said in anyway. I do believe he is more right than wrong. I do believe we are welcoming much of the criminal population of Central American countries. Instead of engaging in conversation on the issue, and this included many if not all of the Republican candidates it has been let us attack the man. What he said was certainly not the right way to get attention but he did. This is what minor candidate do in primary season and always have. I cannot comment on climate control as I do not understand it and anything I read turns into politics and for me, that is just not something I enjoy. I enjoy POLITICS, but not POLITICIZATION To recap, I read the OPs note to speak to the non conversation but activision that abound now in the country. When I speak of these issues, do not confuse my comments with disagreeing or agreeing....but... Our President and his entire party, a short 3 years ago were against gay marriage. In 3 short years they completely changed their mind BEFORE the Supreme Court ruling. Was that because the entire party and administration just came around in 3 years ? The confederate flag was flying about 2 weeks ago and nothing was said;NASCAR had it on every track; we had a tragic and terrible thing happen, and suddenly people will be arrested for having it on a vehicle IN TWO WEEKS and a sit com from years ago is cancelled because of the flag. Our public schools after all this time, suddenly need to warn people that they MIGHT find this offensive...whatever is being taught, which includes century old title. We are unable to refer to our country as the land of opportunity because maybe some child in the class will be offended by that term and we do not address discipline problems in elementary school before looking at their race and deciding that maybe the are not at fault because of their culture. I am sorry...this is activism and it is prevelant right now. Always has been and always will be activists but they are MAKING POLICY....not trying to influence...they are MAKING POLICY. I hope what I say makes sense...while I have so much more to say, I am trying real hard to keep it short. Thanks for your post and keep them coming. |
I am the poster on #16 and apologize if I stepped on the OPs toes in anyway. I decided to respond and hope I am not in any contradiction,

Not sure what you mean by my educational comments... but I don't believe in the "Liberal Media" hoax. All channels other than Fox are not to be trusted because they are liberal? I was in Catholic school until 2 grade, the reading of the bible was imposed in the 3rd grade. My point was I exposed to religious bigotry at an early age...something I will never forget. So I am very sensitive to people wrapping themselves in "religious freedom" to deny someone else's rights. As for Hillary, Obama and gay marriage. Clinton came into office with the stated purpose allowing gays in the military. He ended up having to sign Don't Ask Don't Tell in the dark of night. So no I don't think Hillary was against gay marriage, on the other hand I do think Obama was....That is why I didn't support him.... I was a Hillary girl. As for the rest....they had their fingers in the wind which was NOT blowing in favor of gay marriage. Things did seem to turn on a dime but I think that was because more gays blew the doors off the closet so most everyone knew someone who is gay.... As for school their zero tolerance policies have done more harm than good. |
I forgot....you talk about the money Soros gives to the DEMS but no mention of the Koch's and Adelson for the Repub's

Dear Guests: I am a catholic educated citizen who is the OP on this thread and given some of the responses I feel a need to reiterate my sole objective in starting this topic. I suspect the variations in responses is because of that human experience called "lost in translation" This thread is not about a flag rather it is about radical progressive who are well place in our educational institutes, corporations, churches,Hollywood and federal/state/local pushing an agenda by means of force and intimidation trying to force people against their conscience to accept things that they believe are morally wrong to them or simply lack common sense. Its why I quoted Thomas Jefferson in my last post. My catholic education has nothing to do with regard to my opinions about abortion gay marriage, etc. I come by those views based on the adverse effect it will have on our nation not as a moral issue alone but in contradiction to the sciences. In fact this new pope has been rubbing me wrong on his opinion concerning capitalism and climate change The main focus should be on students who literally are offended by Huck Finn or Song of South, one of my favorite Disney movies, because of the old man who tells the story, a man that I viewed from the first time as grandfatherly and loving . Worse yet they shun the classics because they were created by evil white men. Who would ever have believed that marxist teachings would be encouraged in this nation via polticial correctness, trigger warnings, and micro aggressions what the heck is wrong with our young people. My parents made me aware of the unfairness of nature and the struggles of life. My father was a direct guy and when I first made mention that life wasn't fair he said no ----. He had a John Wayne mentality meaning he struggle for the fairness for the little guy showed respect for those who deserved respect and went out of his way to remove the bad guys either by a vote or if it was a local bully by his fist. He loved a good fist fight. He loved America. Today we have progressive mocking America . In summary this is a cultural battle between traditional America and the new normal and what I see as the new normal seems to be degrading America. Progressives will continue their take no prisoners attack on our religious and moral values by over turning the constitution to fit their ideology so the Confederate Flag is a symbol of how easily that can be done by demonizing it a classic Alinsky tactic. Once again those of us that understand the necessity of traditional America values which has kept this nation safe and certainly free need to understand the assault by progressive on those freedoms Personal Best Regards: |

I do support gay rights and therefore agree with the Supreme Court's decision on gay marriage....if you call that activism then, in this case, I'll own that. But what about the conservative activism in regard to gay marriage? The Supreme Court has spoken it is the law of the land. This is NOT a liberal nor progressive court yet county clerks are refusing to issues marriage license's by wrapping themselves in religion. Did you not see the signs during the civil rights era "The Bible says Don't Mix the Races" cause I did. But you haven't addressed the religious activism I encountered during my school years in the 50's. Remember the phrase Under GOD was added to the pledge of allegiance.... as well "In GOD We Trust" added to our money. Do you not remember the hate filled things said about Catholics during the Kennedy campaign and term. He was going to give the country to the Pope, we had large families to raise an army and we kept an armory in the basement of the church. I have never been accused of being politically correct, just ask my former co-workers, so I think some of that stuff is just silly. Do I think we should seal the borders....yes I do and deport anyone here illegally. I scream at the TV when stories about "dreamers" and mixed status families are aired. We are a product of our experience's....the religious bigotry I experienced shaped me. |

I posted a number of links and quotes on trigger warnings and micro aggression and if you sincerely were scarred by your education experience, you will be SHOCKED and APPALLED at what is being done to young brains now. Your comments on religious activism confuse me, and for the record, I am the product of 12 years of Catholic school, and attended in the 50s as well, so what you say I understand, but on one hand you sound offended by the addition of God, and then offended by the anti catholic feeling during the Kennedy campaign. They seem to come at cross purposes. BUT all those "differences" were in the religion arena. To filter FACT from teaching so as not to offend or to filter DISCIPLINE and make it dependent on race just does not sit well with me. And as an addition to something you said on the gentleman being disciplined for having the confederate flag in a parade. Be mindful, I am ok with what is happening in South Carolina, but that flag is not illegal in any way, so why should anyone anywhere be disciplined in any way for flying it. Isn't that free speech. Many of the anti US, anti police signs recently exhibited were defended on that principle. Point is you seemed to feel that suspension instead if firing made it ok, and I do not understand any discipline at all |

As an Irish Catholic my family experienced racism against the Irish....I was not old enough to see them but my father saw the signs "Irish need not apply". Fortunately for me I had strong aunts who bucked the system, one of which ended up as a high school principle in New Jersey during the 50's. |

I have a real big problem with filtering FACTS through a filter that includes your color, heritage, etc. Facts are facts and need to be taught regardless of the students heritage, skin color or anything. It is scary that anyone would be ok with that kind of thing. I have no idea of how many. Since this does not bother you then it makes no difference. The thread is about the assault on our freedoms, but if it doe not bother anyone, then I am just in error here. I would not want my child to be educated but filter what he/she is taught because the facts are hard to hear. I would not want discipline to be meted out dependent on the color of the child's skin. Rules are rules and all you do is teach children to EXPECT priveleges because of their skin color. I mush have misunderstood, as I thought our goal was the opposite. No wonder American children not only don't know much but certainly do not know why.....it appears we are protecting them. YES I KNOW THE EXCEPTIONS...again the point of this thread, to me anyway, is an assault on freedoms. You can be disciplined if you display things that offend others...thought that was what free speech was about. You will not be taught anything that upsets you..that does not sound like my freedom to learn and be availed the facts. You will not be disciplined if black or whatever...guess that depends. You can like it...I do not. |

It shows if this is a wide spread thing or just a microcosm. Please find and post if you are to be credible. Have YOU ever had a very traumatic situation personally that seeing it again would make you re-live the pain? Those do happen. Joe Theissman had it happen after LT snapped his leg and he had to watch the slo-mo play on television over and over. Joe re-lived that horrible moment and never got over hearing that bone break. Rape trauma, burn trauma, or even taunting trauma can be debilitating for some people. Re-living it through film, books, or words can be unbearable. As for different discipline, once again, you would have to show us the schools by location and how many times it happens for you to be credible on this claim. As for displaying something that offends others and being punished being wrong since there is Freedom of Speech - imagine a high school teacher in downtown Detroit going to work wearing a tee shirt that has emblazoned "I Hate Muslims" on it. That teacher will not have a job any longer - but she was expressing Freedom of Speech, wasn't she. Right or wrong? |
Quote:
Your examples leave me speechless. Comparing a football injury to educating children with historical reasoning on facts that are facts and are not related to you is quite a difference. To say to a child, I am not going to teach you this fact, or want to warn you that this fact might upset you is not even on the same planet as a football player watching tapes. Sorry, we view free speech and education through completely different prisms. Education coddling is a bit of a reach for me. "Oh I never studied that in school, I thought it would be too traumatic". Sorry, not my world I suppose. If that makes me insensitive, sorry, but the world is what it is, not what we wish it to be, and life is not going to allow you a pass because it might upset you. And your other example, I am quite sure that a teacher wearing such a shirt is VIOLATING A SCHOOL DISTRICT POLICY. A man in a parade is not subject to those kinds of rules and regulations |

IT IS NOT ABOUT SELECTING TEXT BOOKS THUS YOUR USUAL NONSENSE COMMENT WAS UNNECESSARY. IF I were you, I would revisit the definitions of the two terms being discussed and this time pay attention. If you want to begin a thread on text book selection, I think you should, but your post has no relevance to what has been or is being discussed. If I sound "short" I just do not understand people who have this need to be snide, and it is they who are not even speaking to the subject. |
Another comment to the poster who had a need to change the subject of the thread and broach something that has not even been mentioned.....what, may I ask, allows you the arrogance to call two sitting Governors "stupid" ? If you have a need to do that, have the honesty to at least validate it in some way.
I am sure your personal background would put to shame Gov Jindals degree from Brown University. His acceptance at both Harvard Medical school and Yale law school, but I am sure your resume would show him to be stupid. Studying at Oxford, and becoming a Rhodes Scholar sure did not bring him to your status, but he tried. I do not offer much support for President Obama, or Ms Clinton, but I could not even bring myself to type and call them stupid under any circumstances. |
