Best bartenders in the Villages?

I was just curious about this subject while I was getting a burger :mmmm: at the Palmer Legends Country Club on Thursday for lunch. I was looking at the female bartender and wondering if these people are still therapists of a sort? Do they come up with creative new drinks like the Arnold Palmer?

Does anyone have any funny anecdotes about bartenders in the Villages? I probably would not fit in though as I only drink Diet decaffeinated Coke or Pepsi most of the time and splurge on caffeinated regular Coca-Cola when out to lunch or dinner.

Whether a martini shaken or stirred would not be a question I could answer. :throwtomatoes:

I did think that the female bartender might have known if Jon Snow still lives as I guess bartenders are good for scuttlebutt?

This has to be a question for Bonny, since she has to know all of them!!..:D

I will wait for Bonny's answer. The lady bartender looked vaguely familiar and a woman I know at Doggie Doo Run Run who is about the same age, race, build, etc. was not her usual friendly self. So, I was wondering if I had been rude if I had not recognized someone when they are dressed for work vs. someone dressed for dog hairs, poop, sweat, and the like.

They could be two different women entirely who just look a little bit like one another.

I am though also interested in best bartenders of the Villages as this may give me something to talk about if have the good fortune if meeting either of these ladies again unless they are one and the same.

I certainly have had days when I do not want to talk to anyone and that is what dog parks are very good for here in the Villages.

The Best Bartenders in Las Vegas! - Las Vegas Weekly

Best bartenders from other places?

Right now I would like to talk to these in DC, St. Paul, Chicago, Reno, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and maybe London in addition to here in the Villages.

I have not got around to talking yet to one of the various bartenders here in the Villages. It it kind of hard to hang around bars when you only drink diet Coca-Cola.

They seem really busy there whenever I drive by looking at what is in which theater at the Old Mill Playhouse, going to a movie, getting a card at Hallmark or a book/DVD at Barnes & Noble, or out walking Beau to get a break from Doggie Doo Run Run.

Rachel Ballou at the Old Mill Playhouse might be a good person to talk to too for me if she is still there?

Mimivillager 07-20-2015 08:52 AM

My internet has been out. Finally just got everything all set.
Hmmm... let me see, the best bartenders in the Villages....
Nope not answering that one. :p There are just so many awesome bartenders/servers that I would be afraid to accidentally forget to mention someone, then I would feel really bad.

Do you know the bartenders at Arnold Palmer in the afternoons? Just curious. The one I saw did not seem very busy on Thursday July 9, 2015. In fact, I did not see her with any customers. The staff did stop by a few times.

I am pretty sure she is a different woman from the one I encounter at Doggie Doo Run Run who is back to her occasionally smiling laidback self.

Dennis & Jack are great too, don't frequent Bonifay much anymore. No discounts on what we like to drink --also the menu is getting boring

I have been talking to my niece who is a bartender in Reno, Nevada. I did not know I even had this niece last year at this time. She is the daughter of my late younger brother, Chuck. Chuck and her mother had a fling, she got pregnant, and then they decided to go their separate ways. The daughter though wanted to know more about her biological father so she contacted some of us via Facebook. I am learning some stuff about bartending and more gossip about Reno, Nevada. I have not been back there since 1994 but we did live there for 15 years or so. Me for 14 as I was away at the University of Denver getting a MA in Librarianship and Information Management at their Graduate School of Librarianship and Information Management. The last time I had a lot of experience with bartenders was when us library students went out drinking and dancing frequently after a not so hard day of studying. I got a little experience with bartenders while at the University of Minnesota Law School but rarely had much time for partying as the study and work at the Law Library was hard-going.

I do have a renewed interest in bartenders though even though I do not drink any more. We lost my younger brother Chuck last December to long term alcoholism. Kind of ironic that his daughter is now a bartender.

Sorry for your loss. Yes, it is strange sometimes to see the way some things play out. Hope you were able to help your niece learn more about her dad.

Yes. We are sharing all kinds pf photos and the like on Facebook. She seems like a great kid with a couple of kids of her own. That was a huge surprise for my Mother and Father as they were informed that they were great grandparents around July 4, 2015 but had no idea that Chuck had ever got some other girl pregnant and that woman had had a kid by him.
