Lost Black and White dog

Lost black and white dog that looks like a cocker spaniel, 6 months old. The owners just received this dog recently and he/she got out of his/her collar and ran off. The couple lives in Charlotte and someone said they saw the dog running toward Sanibel. The couple's other dog passed away last week and this lost dog is their new furry family member. Sorry this is all of the information I have and I do not know the dog's name.

Update...owner is canvassing neighborhoods and came to my door today. The dog wriggled out of a carrier when they brought him to TV as a newly homed dog gfrom a Lake City breeder. The dog has a summer haircut and is 17 pounds and male. the photo is of a similar dog. He is 7 months and has not been named.
The owners have enjoyed having several of this breed and would appreciate any leads.
Call Caroline at 540-219-4114 with any questions or suggestions or sightings. He was last seen in Sanibel.

We drove the golf course the first we heard of him. I'm actually happy to hear he has been spotted. He's still alive!

I am in contact with the neighbor of the couple that have lost their dog. Someone said he was seen near Hemmingway. As of a hour ago the neighbor said no leads were called in today. As of yesterday the dog was seen on Adriene Way in Sanibel. My neighbors and I go out ISO of this little guy as often as we can. We have talked to so many concerned people that are out looking also. Tonight is trash night, maybe someone will find this dog searching for food. We live in a wonderful place. I pray that someone will find this precious creature and let him see what a dog's loving life is all about. Thanks to all who are searching. Just got home from our RDOG3 meeting and had a message on our phone. Lady called to say she saw the dog yesterday, Aug 4th, on hole #5 of Kiliim Jaro Golf Course which is part of the Havana Golf Course system. Lady said she tried to capture the dog but he is very fast. If you know of anyone who lives in the area of the sighting would you please contact them. There is hope. When my little guy was a runner my Vet told me to get his attentIon and run the other way. Usually a dog will follow you as they think it's a game. It worked with my dog. If anyone sees this little guy try that, you may be able to lure him that way. Having dog treats may help if he comes near you. I pray that he is found. Please keep us posted. We look for him every time we go out.

I sit down on the ground. This confuses the heck out of my golden, and he comes over to see what's up.

Seen at Hemingway, tracked by hired tracker dog toward Mallory. This is from conversation, Friday, 1 pm, with owner. Please report any sightings to Caroline,

Sounds encouraging.
If it is a Tibetan Terrier- they are very fast & very smart. They are also very independent. We have a Tibetan & they can be challenging. I really hope the little guy is found soon.

Lost Dog
 

Me and my husband spotted the dog on the Mallory Golf Course last night on O'Dell, between 7:30 & 8:00 PM. We tried calling to him but he was truly afraid and ran but stopped and turned around and we called again but he ran over the hill. We went into the Mallory Golf Course and road around in our golf cart but we couldn't find him. He is a beautiful dog. We contacted the owner this morning and the owner was off to search. He seems to like the golf courses so golfers keep an eye out for him.

I'm happy to hear he has been spotted. Hopefully he will be picked up soon. Thanks for the update.

If you take a dog friendly dog and a slip lead with you when you look for him. Often times, they will run to a dog friendly dog. Have food... he's hungry and of course don't chase him. It's tempting.... but walk....

You probably know all of this... but just in case you don't.

can we all go walk a golf course where he was last seen, or something?

I have been checking several times a day to see if he has been sighted or found. He was behind our neighbor's house in Sanibel on Tuesday and then seemed to head north. I feel so helpless and wondered too if we should walk the courses or would it be a crap shoot!

We live in Charlotte, but are currently back in Michigan. Wishing we were there to help, sooooo worried about this poor scared puppy! Hope we all get good news soon!

I agree with Lovey2... Can some one coordinated a search where the dog was last seen. Maybe with 20+ people we can find this dog.

Owner says dog last seen on thursday in Mallory. At this point anybody anywhere in TV could go scout for the dog. He went from Charlotte to Sanibel to Hemingway to Mallory. Has not been seen for 3 days. Anyone who wants to help can go looking, and if he is seen, then a coordinated effort can be launched. Thank you all.
