Biden More Competitive Than Clinton Against Leading Republicans: Poll - Bloomberg Politics

Guest 08-27-2015 01:26 PM

At least Biden is/or was a fairly decent statesman. He did get out of hand a bit, working for Obama, but he wasn't bad in the Senate. He can get along with either party, although he probably doesn't know which party they are from so that's probably why. I doubt the GOP will lose this time, but if for some reason they do, then Biden is probably the least distructive.

Guest 08-27-2015 02:58 PM

He certainly, standIng one leg with one hand tied behind is the better candidate.
He certainly looks like an executive compared to the unkempt, out all night Clinton look!
He wears his age much better also.

Just what can Clinton say she is better at than Joe? Trick question......nothing!

Guest 08-27-2015 03:06 PM

Hillary is on her way out. She must be frothing at the mouth to lose out again. She'll be lucky if she stays out of the slammer.

<snip>Continuing his consideration of a 2016 run, Vice President Joe Biden had AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka over for lunch Thursday at the Naval Observatory, according to a source familiar with the meeting.<snip>

Read more: Joe Biden meets with AFL-CIO

Biden isn't my candidate, but he would be less damaging than Hillary. Question is: how much control over Biden would Obama maintain?

Guest 08-27-2015 03:09 PM

You Tea Bag geezers are so scared of Hillary. What are you going to be doing when she is elected President in 2016? Will you spend whatever remaining time you have just ranting and raving? Your hate filled lives sound pathetic. I would think you would be trying to enjoy your last days instead of just ranting.

My posts will be far fewer, much to your chagrin, as I have to get back to college. Don't worry, I will still post now and then. You guys are good for a sociology project.

Go away troll. I can see why you would support the socialist party, since you are just a young student. Got to keep those freebies coming, right? Don't waste your time in college, because when you get out you still won't be qualified for anything that I can't get an illegal to do....and with less lip service too. :a20:

I suppose you are hoping your student loans are paid by us so you can lolygag your summers away in a community where we worked and earned our lifestyle. I am sorry I forgot you are now the entitled generation, so be sure the parents continue to support you in a lifestyle you have yet to deserve!

Biden is more competitive than Hillary?

Heck, ANY Democrat would be competitive against this bunch of crazy Cons.

Jimmy Carter should announce his candidacy - he'd beat ANY Con.

Yes ANY democrat would be more competitive than a lying, cheating, unethical, untrustworthy, tired and haggard looking Clinton!

Well, I plan to be at Cody's tomorrow (Friday) at 1:30 pm having lunch at the bar. Show up, geezer, and we can discuss your Tea Bag ideas vs sane people ideas. I will be wearing my orange golf cap and having a Stella beer.

This forum has deteriorated into a juvenile name calling game with very serious overtones.

When a poster announces where and when he will be somewhere and issues a challenge TO STRANGERS....that is scary.

And to do that takes very little brainpower thus who in their right mind would ever do that.

This experiment in adult conversation has failed miserably.

Guest 08-28-2015 06:05 PM

I do not think it is appropriate to cast a doubt of any kind across this forum, or any other, for the actions of ONE PERSON!!!!

I for one am sick and tired of conclusions about how we live and behave based on minority or incidental occurances.

How about the rest of us who did not participate in the wacko invitation.

I believe you owe the rest of the participants an appology for casting them in the lot with the isolated wacko!!!!

May be a good move for VP Joe Biden. I kind of doubt if he will commit to it because of the loss of his son Beau. We will probably have Hillary Clinton facing Jeb Bush, if Bush ever gets his act together and people wise up to the Donald's rather empty-headed policies. Bush does have a lot more substance and has the name recognition. I like many of the Republican candidates quite a bit more than Bush and certainly much more than Trump.

Guest 08-29-2015 08:45 AM

Too soon to make any predictions. And for what it is worth this campaign is playing out like the game of golf. It is becoming a game of contradictions.

The belief is that Trump's rants about illegal aliens is losing both he and the GOP Hispanic votes. But as it turns out the legal aliens are siding with Trump because they are feeling the effects more so of illegals both from the standpoint of jobs and crime. they want the illegals stopped. will it remain so???? Again too early to predict.

Is Joe Biden better than Hillary???? its a toss up.

I will continue expressing a concern that Obama has turned this nation upside down and its going to take a real statesman to right this ship of ours. voters would be wise not to lose focus of this fact

Personal Best Regards:

Do you see the responses to your post? They just made your case for you. The problem is that they don't think they are doing anything wrong. Like the man said in a previous thread, Republicans aren't responsible for anything including bad behavior. When they do outrageous, the devil made them do it.

Bush is a bit too moderate for me. The more he speaks, the less I am encouraged. He sounds so unprepared and seems to stumble with his wording quite frequently. I am sure he would do OK as pres, but I'm not sold on him yet, and less so the more I hear from him.

I'd like to hear a bit more from Kasich. The little I have heard him speak in the past seemed to indicate a good common sense approach to things. I'm not sold on him yet, but I am interested in hearing more. Maybe we'll learn some more in the debates.

Too bad Fiorina is going to be shut out of the activities. I would like to see her compete with the big boys. I think she could hold her own, if not proving that she belongs in the first tier.

Dr. Carson is interesting and smart. He is a bit out of his element, but shows good common sense. I don't think he is electable right now because Obama messed it up for black representation due to his poor performance. Too many voters are gun shy right now. No pun intended.

Huckabee would be an excellent choice, but won't get the needed votes. Carrying his faith on his sleeve is OK for many of us, but some would get nervous.

But, I digress. This thread is about Biden. I hope that the Democrats are smart enough to understand that Hilary is a liability to the party and support Biden. I really think that Biden is reluctant to run, and more than a bit tired and worn down. If the Dems get lucky and elect someone again, I would hope it would be Biden. I see absolutely no one else that would be able to get congress to work together again, after Obama and his Pelosi and Reid twins hosed up bipartisanship.

Huckabee lost me with the Jahi McMath case. Young teen who had complex tonsil/sleep apnea surgery. Something went wrong, she had uncontrollable bleeding, and suffered brain death. Six independent Drs declared her brain dead. Huckabee took up for her, compared her to Terry Schaivo.

There is no comparison, this poor child is dead ~ even though her body is, to this day, lingering on machines.

Of course, Huckabee is a right wing nut and wants Americans to believe he has been called by God to be President and to return the country to the 1950's.

He is as scary as the The Villages Tea Party. Go to their webpage to see how reactionary their views really are.

Examples of his being "a right wing nut."
Please show some proof that he said that he was called by God to be President and return the country to the 1950's.
Please give me an example of how the Tea Party "scares" you. Do you know the meaning of "reactionary?" Because you don't seem to be able to use it in the proper context.

Actually, I doubt if you will answer any of the above, because you are just a hit and run artist, with no evidence to substantiate your opinion.

Guest 08-29-2015 03:22 PM

I am not a fan of Hillary, and would never vote for her. Don't write her off so soon. If the IRS, and Justice Dept. do not find that she did anything illegal with her private server, they will get blame for a cover up. It will be up to the Benghazi committee to prove otherwise. I have lost count 4 or 5 others couldn't. This one will end the same way, looking for something that probably wasn't there.

She will have the defense that these witch hunts were nothing but politics as usual. She might have a case there. She could turn from a liar into a victim.

That wasn't my post about the Tea Party, but I will respond. How many moderate Republicans lost office, because of the Tea Party candidates? How many Democrats are still in office, because their opposition was a Tea Party candidate? Washington no longer works, and it would be very hard not to place a lot of the blame on the Tea Party.

They want to and have shut down the government for no good reason, or a reason that didn't have majority support.

The bipartisan Senate immigration died in the House, because of the Hassett(sp) rule. You have to know that they didn't support it. How much time have they wasted trying to get rid of ACA? There are no indication that they want to govern.

It appears that Joe Biden's heart isn't in right now. If he is runs and is successful, he knows what he will be up against as President. I don't know, other than ego, why anyone would want to be president. It is a thankless job right now.

Kiddo, we all know who the troll is. Why do you bother to inject yourself into our conversation? Like I said before, you are nothing more than a hit and run troll. We have a great community down here in The Villages, and I know it is unreasonable to expect your type (jealous) to understand it. That's why you act like a petulant child that insists on attention.

If you can't even attempt a mature conversation with the adults, why don't you go on back to the kiddie table.

When I was young and in college movements mattered and I was compassionate about things. Then I went to work in the "real world" where they expect results. That's when you develop a brain and understand that everything can be done until you run out of "other" peoples money. I am not scared of Hillary but, she should be with all her self-inflicted wounds. Everyone with half a brain understands that emails on a private server is not the main story. Wiping a server clean of Chelsea's wedding plans? How about having a private server and wiping it clean to clean a trail of influence peddling between her husband and her position as Secretary of State.

Guest 08-30-2015 04:13 PM

Those dems have a pretty good lineup. A liar, a socialist (who isn't even a dem) and Joe? If it wasn't so pathetic I would laugh. This is not my father's democratic party.

Ah yes. Clinton, lawyer trained, knows when to say it is not illegal as provided by the letter of the law. Knows she can claim having not done anything wrong dependent upon her confidence that someone may or may not be able to prove guilt.

Just try to find some where in the law books where it states that wiping a server clean is illegal. Of course you will not find it. But to add the appropriate qualifiers as in wiping the server clean of................that requires the accuser to prove that it was in fact there, as stated, and cleaned, as stated.

Did you ever see the law adds here in TV when he says just one word can make a difference. What the word is. If the word was used. If the word was not used. What was before the word? After the word?

Using, abusing or hiding behind the letter of the law.
How else can be said about those who at times have to defend murderers and rapists? Create doubt.
