Front Lawn DInosaurs

Thank goodness for deed restrictions!

Front lawn dinosaurs cause stir in Texas neighborhood

Those Dino's are so cool! Heck, the development's blog site invites people to come view them. Seems a shame that they'll have to be removed.

Villager Joyce 08-29-2015 07:05 AM

Too bad they aren't huge pink flamingos. That would be special and cool.

DonH57 08-29-2015 09:24 AM

Cool. If they were robotic they would help keep dogs off the lawn.

manaboutown 08-29-2015 09:37 AM

Perhaps they could rename the street Jurassic Parkway?

Golden Years 08-29-2015 01:52 PM

That is the problem with deed restrictions and HOA'S you miss out on creative ideas and beuituful art work. By the way pink flamingos and retirement go together.

Pink flamingos

I have been having an argument with my wife. I want to bring my pink flamingos. She says no. Poor taste, I say this is retirement. I get to be an eccentric geezer. I do love dinosaurs. But I already have flamingos.

If you've ever driven up Route 1 in Massachusetts, as you went through the town of Saugus you saw a big orange dinosaur that was part of a miniature golf complex. It's been a landmark there ever since I was a little kid.

The mini golf is evidently closing and they planned to get rid of the dinosaur, but the residents will have none of it. They want the landmark to remain.Saugus locals won

Yea, but then you'd have to deal with robotic dinosaur poop.

Uh oh...another poop thread.

I miss the dinosaurs that used to do all the housework for Fred and Wilma.

CFrance 08-29-2015 04:20 PM

Don't we have enough dinosaurs here already?:throwtomatoes:

Jaggy 08-29-2015 04:26 PM

Maybe they would scare the coyotes away..

I remember seeing the orange dinosaur when working in that area. In Acton there's a children's museum that has a larger green dinosaur in the front yard and they staff put seasonal hats on it. It was always funny to see it wearing a bright yellow rain slicker hat on a rainy day.

Youtube had what I was remembering. Look for the golf cart, the pin setter and the garbage disposal.
