Great time at Hemingway's

Saturday evening, Hemingway's had Clark Barrios singing in the covered breezeway from 5:30 until 8:30. They also had specially prepared cocktails and some great appetizers.

Lots of Villagers came out for this special occasion.

Hope they do another event like this real soon!

Our golf group went last Tuesday night. It was a disaster. Can't put tables together, share a dinner $4.00, not good service. Hey, we spend money but if it isn't good we won't be back.

They have to get it in their pea brain that's it's a golf course country club. Our large golf group will never return.

Clark is an entertainer for sure. Here is a pic from last night.

We were there also on Saturday night, great time on the patio where Clark was singing. I love Hemmingways, food is great and especially good service from Tim and Miguel whenever we have eaten there. Hope they keep the entertainment on the weekends.

I would love to have been there. He is great.

You do realize for those of us that love Hemingway's, not having large golf groups pushing tables together is not a bad thing? You also realize that the restaurant has no relationship with the golf course? Some of the other restaurants will meet your needs much better than Hemingway's.

Hemingways is one of my favorite restaurants in TV, different entrees and a real happy hour, which includes top shelf booze

I agree. They decided they don't want golfers as part of the customer base. Unfortunate. We will spend our money elsewhere.

My favorite restaurant in TV! Love the seafood there, in particular. Tim is our favorite server.

What is your favorite seafood dish? I'd like to try it.

On the regular menu (they also have daily specials) it is the saffron scallops. They cook them just right so that they melt in your mouth. Also, I love the trout, the salmon (which I had a couple of days ago) and the lobster mac and cheese (loaded with lobster).

jnieman 09-08-2015 03:28 PM

I love the fried shrimp. Large lightly breaded.

Wow. Great suggestions. Thank you.

Their wings are as good as it gets.

The best Shrimp and Grits anywhere. Also, love the Papa's Filet with Lobster on top. For a light meal, try the Chicken Plantain Salad. Salmon St. Croix is delicious. There is a lot to like and it is definitely higher quality than most of the places around.

The trout...can't seem to get beyond that. And, how gauche of me! I take half of it home.

Along with Lopez, we too consider Hemingway's to be at the top of our list of restaurants within TV.

The shrimp jardiniere (scampi) is to die fore. Includes sun-dried tomatoes, shredded zucchini, noodles and a delicious sauce. Makes 2 or almost 3 meals for me.

simpkinp 10-14-2015 08:11 PM

Shrimp Jardinere. Thanks for the tip. I will try it next time
