Lt. Joe Gliniewicz RIP
The funeral procession for Fox Lake IL police lieutenant Joe Gliniewicz gunned down by three scumbags last week was a moving tribute. Fellow law enforcement officers from all over the Chicago area lined up to patticipate.

Thousands of them. And from further away too. My grandfather was a police officer. The recent climate change is frightening. No one will want to protect us, one of these days. Thank you Officer Joe, for the ultimate sacrifice and may God bless and protect your family. |

My daughter lives there. School was on lockdown all last week. Yesterday she was at Lone Star and many many policemen walked in to eat. My grandson walked up to them to shake their hands. He is 10. The whole community there is badly shaken up.

A well deserved tribute. Thank you for posting the picture. That is very impressive….I don't think words could do it justice.

My son just lost his best friend, I cannot mention his name or I would have to kill all of you, but suffice it to say his death was not natural and he was a commander in the Navy Seals in counterintelligence probably in some desert hellhole, doing his job protecting the rest of us. For Christmas, 2011, my son gave me a US flag that this man flew over a secret base in Northern Iraq that he commanded, just for me on 9/11/11, 10th anniversary of that horrible day and had it flown back to Colorado Springs, with a certificate from the command of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He leaves behind a young wife and 3 young children. What a waste. I hate to sound jaded, but I'm beginning to think there are just some people who do not deserve to live in our country or enjoy our freedoms. Perhaps they should just be fed to ISIS, and I would start with those that made that general threat to all police this morning. Condolences to the family and friends of both these men and all like them. Thank you all for your service, you will be remembered with honor. |
RIP Lieutenant Gliniewicz. This is happening far too often these days. I say a prayer every night, not only for all LEO's, but especially for my son who puts the uniform on every day. The trash that is ambushing and executing Police Officer's will be eventually be caught or, hopefully, shot and killed before they can run off and hide like the cowards they are. There will come a time when these killers will BURN IN HELL.
Prayers not only to the family of Lieutenant Gliniewicz but also to his Police family. |

Thanks for sharing that picture. It was a great tribute to a wonderful man.
My brother-in-law and son-in-law are Baltimore County Police Officers and my nephew just graduated this summer from the Maryland State Police Academy. While my family is very proud of these guys, when my 10 year old grandson says he wants to be a police officer, sadly we all kinda cringe. |
Talk about a disheartening turn of events. Nothing but disgust for this piece of crap.

Don't be down. In every walk of life there are folks who do wrong. Remember that most law enforcement officers are NOT like that. I think everyone was shocked and saddened to hear this news. |

Thanks for the encouragement. It's sad about the number of law enforcement officers who were duped into caring for him. They should be mad as hell. |

This has been the lead story in Chicago for the past two days. Now the media is reporting that Lt. Gliniewicz's wife and second oldest son are under investigation for being in on the $50,000 theft from the explorer group that Lt. Gliniewicz headed. The Lake County, Illinois Major Task Force is alleging that Lt. Gliniewicz wanted to hire a hit man to kill the village administrator of Fox Lake who was auditing the Fox Lake Explorers.
What a turn of events. |
Just call him G I Jerk
Sadly this turn of events surprised me as I have a summer cottage in Antioch right next to Fox Lake. This cop was dirty and the word on the street after a couple of weeks was that it was a suicide but no one knew why. Now we do and if there is one thing to be said the only thing he did right was to kill himself and not Ms Marrin. It's amazing to hear how many times this guy was cited for bad behavior professionally but was still allowed to remain on the police force and even promoted to LT a few years ago. Just goes to show you what a tight knit group these policemen can be. Not all of course, but too many turn a blind eye. Most likely they did not know about his embezzlement activities but they did know about his other offenses. It was all a sham and to think there were hundreds and hundreds of police cars from all over the country in his funeral procession. I left my cottage early that day as they were going to drive right by and I didn't want to get stuck there that long. The local businesses all did fund raising, etc. I can only hope they prosecute to the fullest extent of the law all those involved with this cheating, lying, coward.
