Now obama wants to put a 47 year old tv journalist openly gay fellow in charge of our army. Are you kidding me. Hope the senate has better brains than that to ok it. He is hell bent to destroy this country.

Obama is spitting on America. He has a deep seated hate that has shown from the beginning and anyone that has read his books knows this.

And there are far too many who do not think he has an agenda!
Also yesterday the USA stated at the UN they would now begin using "sexual rights" in plave of human rights to be more inclusive. It was stated that gender being "limited" to male and female was not fairly inclusive!

Did I miss where we converted from a representation form of government to communism? Dictatorship?

The current trend would suggest at some point or the USA devolution it will be proposed by someone that the "American" flag unfairly no longer represents the make up of the USA.

I am fine with male and female. I am not fine with a gay man heading up the armed forces. I am for what the USA historically and to date stands for.

And the one or two percent that do not like what we stand for, our values and our way of life........that is just too :censored:

Gays coming out of the closet might be entertaining to some of us and tolerated. But, when it comes to running something serious like a military branch, we need a stable mindset, not someone that has a personal agenda to further what some still feel is an abnormal affliction, or deviant behavior. Tolerating something is one thing but condoning it is entirely different. A Christian tolerates deviant or sinful behavior but does NOT condone it. Big difference.
Obama has done everything in his power to ruin America and the American way. He has pushed the term "tolerant" to the limit and some folks are about at the breaking point. I really think that he is attempting to cause a civil war in our country. He is that messed up in the head. He is too unstable to run our country and should have been legally removed from his important position long ago. Actually, he should never have been elected, but that is history.....bad history.

I challenge anyone to give me some examples of where Obama has attempted to heal divisions in our country rather than cause more divide.

I was against it the moment they said "TV journalist." That was bad enough, but when they added an "openly" gay, it was the cherry on top of the manure. There goes the Army. Obama has indeed made a mockery of the presidency. And now a mockery of the Army. So much for the country ruled by the majority. Now, we can say it's ruled by a tyrant, a racist tyrant. Possibly a gay racist tyrant. Or maybe a gay, racist, Muslim tyrant. Or a gay, racist, Muslim, socialist tyrant. Yep, that sounds about right.
I guess the new Army salute to officers will be modified to incorporate a limp wrist. Ooops, there goes PC again. Hey, it's all in fun, right....or should I have said "left?"

The issue is NOT about his resume but rather that he's openly gay and being appointed as Secretary of the Army. He will pass on who's promoted to the most senior Flag level ...gee, I wonder what some of his criterait will be.

There are PLENTY of other highly qualified candidates.

Fanning has been serving as the acting under secretary of the Army since June. Before that, he served as Carter’s chief of staff.

Actually, Obama is a Muslim by birth. If you are going to say he was the son of an African Muslim, then he is Muslim by birth. Whether or not he follows the teachings of Islam is a different debate.

Chances are when you were in the service (especially you Navy guys) that you had gay guys in the bunks in the squad bays and took showers with them. Did they ever try coming onto you and making sexual advances? Of course not.

Get yourself out of the 1950's and into modern times. Just being gay does not mean you are forcing others to be gay - but just hoping for equality.

They may have been in our barracks and who kows where else.

Facts of the matter nobody cared or worried about because they knew their place (I know some will not like the terminology or inference...you will get over it)......and not in your face and waving the gay flag every time a camera or politician or what ever was in eye or ear shot.

Back then they were real and knew how to live with it...like it or not.
