Why all of the dump trucks on 466?
Today driving down 466 to get gas I noticed about 20 or more dump trucks coming and going down a dirt trail just off of 466 going behind the farms and across the street from thebridgeport of laurel valley gate. Does anyone know what is going on.?looks like the dump trucks are going into empty and leaving full of dirt.
|
They are going North on 301 and West on 42, 6 or 7 of them passed me this morning going to church, I was doing 60 in the 55 zone, and they passed me.......in a real hurry. I guess they were empty, did not see any on the way back.
|
I saw it too
I saw them too. If you look to the right about 1/4 mile before where the dump trucks exit, you can't see a pile of dirt where the trucks working. Not sure what they are clearing over there but there are several trucks hauling.
|
If you look onto the ranches/Morse property/Lord Lyle farms the dump trucks are going in the gate of one of the ranches on 466.
|
must be a rush job or something to work on Saturday and Sunday ... I was curious where all the trucks were hauling dirt to and from..

Money is no object when the Developer wants to build something.

They have been hauling in dirt all day long for at least 2 1/2 weeks. For a while you could see several huge mounds of dirt, but now it appears they are spreading several out. Maybe filling in a swamp, maybe a training race horse ring, maybe a practice polo field, maybe an airplane landing strip, maybe to build a mountain higher than the Mt. Morse trash dump just off Hy 466A, maybe a ski hill and global warming is reversing itself, maybe a super giant sink hole. Who knows? Sure is a lot of dirt being moved.

No. They are hauling dirt OUT. |

Excellent - a takeoff on the movie where the gold reserves in NYC were stolen in one of the Die Hard stories. |

Thanks for clarifying that GG. |
I heard that the build out is practically over for the dump trucks. So in order to keep everyone employed they they fill up dump trucks and move the dirt in one direction on one day and bring it all back on the next day.
I either heard that or made it up. I'm not sure. |

Neither am I. |

Maybe a new facility for the water ski club?:jester: |

After watching them carry large trucks full of dirt out for over a week at about ten minute intervals I have concluded they are digging an ocean. That will be nice.;) |
Maybe they are building a Costco. Remember, you heard it here first.

that whole area around the "compound" has been surveyed for individual homes. There will be no end to buildout...lol
|
We are a curious bunch! LOL. But apparently nobody really knows what is going on.

What if it's an archeological dig? Do you have to keep those a secret? I wonder what they found?

Those of us from New Jersey hope it's "The Fountain of Yout's". I'd like to see that moon thing the next time it comes around.

I was talking to the greeter at Walmart. He said his wife's hairdresser said that her husband's brother found out from his neighbor down the street that they are building a shopping mall with a Macys and a Trader Joes.
There you have it.... straight from the horses mouth. :crap2: |
Has anyone followed one of the trucks to see where they are taking all of the dirt?

One additional consideration. Based on the amount of debris falling from the trucks I will need volunteers to help wash my car. Whoops!! No go. All bets off. I checked prior threads and find this may be considered as running a business from a residence which is forbidden under my deed restrictions so I'll just have to keep the info to myself. Better yet, I'll stay home and mind my own business. |
I believe the property in question is 11730 NE 72ND Blvd, Pin# D14=012. A permit #AG2015-00023 was applied for and canceled because “Barn is located in flood zone”.
Permit BDF2015-00009 was issued 8/19/2015 for “Short Description: New Horse Barn”. My guess is it was approved because a water retention pond was added to the plan. I have not seen the site plan. |

As always you are spot on !!!!! |

Good Detective work. It must gonna be one heck of a "retention pond", about the size of Lake Michigan. |

Ooo. I'd rather see a Del Friscos or Smith and Wolinskey's (?sp). Morton's is good, but not at the top of my dance card. |
That must be some barn. I though they were digging to China with the amount of dirt that was being dug up.

actually they started moving sand and topsoil to assist with the fill in the Fruitland park area. While digging in the swampy area they found a huge peat reserve which they sold to Black Cow..they are just creating a big lake for the compound and profiting off of it. Not a bad business move actually.
