Topless? Acceptable?
 

My wife and I are new villagers and on Friday night we were heading out to dinner and passed a 4 seater golf cart with the two women in the back seat having there boobs hanging out proudly. I assumed it had something to do with breast cancer awareness but I'm not sure. Is this type of behavior common in TV? I'm certainly not a prude but it upset my wife and soon we are expecting our grandchildren to visit.
Believe me I'm not looking for a fight, I just thought we left all that stuff behind in California.

How could you tell they were doing it "proudly"? What does that have to do with breast cancer at ALL? NO one would flaunt what others don't have.

Seriously??? If I saw that, I would have taken a picture and posted it here for everyone to see these drunks. I'm sure the only way this would have happened is if they were very inebriated.

It is the proudly that is the sticking point with me. I couldn't see if a person was proud nor would I look for their attitude if I saw them naked going by in a golf cart..

Plus with many adult women here their equipment would be dragging along on the ground. They just opened a new restaurant called Droopers here.

Oh no, you didn't leave "all that stuff" in California! We have lots of boobs here. You'll easily find them taking their dogs into the grocery stores, driving weird, saving seats in the square, complaining about service and prices on line, holding up play looking for lost balls, and my favorite, trashing the looks of their neighborhood with tasteless "seasonal lawn ornaments". You really don't have to cross the entire country to notice boobs.

OP, are you "pulling my leg"? Been here For about nine years and saw some strange things and lots of stories from Villagers but you win!

The last time I saw anything like that was down in the Islands three years or so ago. They were walking and laying on the beach----I didn't care! I must go joy riding in my cart more often!

Not considering myself Puritanical and having spent some time on French, Spanish and other beaches allowing topless or nude sun bathing I would prefer not to see what most grannies have to show.

You know the other night we went to a Halloween party and a woman had a costume on like that. Perhaps they were heading to the party we attended with the parrot heads?

MAybe those novelty t shirts that depict almost anything....boobs would be easy.....combined with a vivid, willing imagination and they might have been looking proudly to the beholder....:jester:

If they are the mystery invasive species, $100,000 seems too costly to remove some boobs flashing theirs.

I think Hulahips has the answer. I saw a picture of a couple of women each with a pink shirt with a big balloon under it and their costume looked joined. Tippy Clubb was at the Parrothead Party and I think I saw it her Facebook page but it wasn't her costume....., but no one would have taken it seriously.

I can't get it to copy and paste here. Betcha that was it. Parrothead Parties make a lot of money for charity. That WAS a creative costume girls.

LOL at all the replies to my thread. I assure you they were real. Novelty ones would have looked better. I am happy that this apparently is something new, hopefully rare. My wife and I so love the Villages and all the characters.

The OP ask the question is this kind of behavior common in The Villages? The question brought a furrowed brow because the fact is that this kind of behavior is too common across this nation and spotlighted with the less than lady like antics of female rock stars, movie actresses, etc.. The Villages is no different than the rest of the country except we travel more by golf carts

Maybe the're from New Jersy, like me and were coming home from a half court basketball game. We always played shirts and skins.

They had been swimming and noticed their trunk tops said to "air dry".

Doc. You are fairly new here....and There are some things that we have seen here and some we haven't and anything unusual spreads like wildfire on this and other online forums. I don't really think that women are showing their breasts in golf carts here much.. We aren't prudes, most of us have enjoyed long and fulfilling lives and that includes a lot of memorable moments of all kinds.


There was a guy who was arrested out cold on the trunk of his car with his genitals on display. There was another guy exposing himself at one of the pools, they arrested him. There was a lady who removed some of her clothes while drunk at Brownwood square and of course our famous lovers on the bandstand. But so far those of us with our radar up haven't heard anybody showing off their boobs riding around in golf carts. BUT perhaps there could be a first time.


Most of us are fun loving people with pretty broad sense of humor but most of us still have a pretty traditional moral compass and were fairly well brought up. Most of us would tell her to button up.

There are a lot of parties going on. There are some fake boobs that look really real. My guess is that what it was. One person showing boobs is one thing. 2 people, highly unlikely.

It was posted on my friend's status update- she is a nurse, trust me--she has good eyes Well, that is 6 eyes--she had two other people in the car with her to witness this account. Just funny she posted it yesterday and then someone else posted in here. She doesn't live in TV, but does work here.
