Site being cleared just east of Sarasota Driving Range?
 

I played the new Escambia course yesterday and noticed that a smallish (less than an acre) parcel just east of the Sarasota Driving Range, on the north side of Moyer Loop was cleared and being prepped for building. Does anyone know what is going in there?

It appears access would be from Moyer Loop and not the Colony Health and other medical/professional buildings behind it. I couldn't find anything on the Sumter County planning/building website and my 2014 Villages (aka $5) map doesn't show anything. My golfing companions said the starter told them it was going to be a big box retailer...but, the parcel looks too small for that.

I was talking to one of the driving range guys who said his wife talked to a waiter at Lopez who said his sister talked to a nurse who lives in Leesburg who said that the doctor she works for is opening a used car lot there.

I heard the same from the doctor's mom. Used cars, not trucks.

I heard from my mechanic it was going to be a golf cart drivers training center.

Fingers crossed for either a mattress store, a bank, a tire store, or a coyote obedience school.

Your all wrong. There going to open a real Christmas Tree stand like so many of shopped at. Will only be open a few weeks so don't get to excited.

I have heard there will be another Health Center built somewhere in TV. I would suspect this is not the location due to the lot size. The lot behind Colony was to be a neighborhood Wall mart Grocery Store but it fell thru. Not sure what the next step is.

New Clifford Villas neighborhood and a new connector, Heald Way (golf cart usable) between Moyer Loop and Sembler Way. :thumbup:

Actually the golf cart training comes when you drive around the used car/truck lot. Then when you bump into another vehicle it is not moving & no one gets hurt. The Doctor who is opening the used car/truck lot says his practice is to busy with trauma cases.

I don't get why so little information is given out about what is going on in and around TV? Even if its not actual property of TV that's being developed why wouldn't they want to announce what's being built in the immediate surrounding area? It seems to me that announcements aren't made until the sign is already hung and its old news but maybe that's just because I'm relatively new.
