TOTVers: I know how I feel about you...

Love
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Love is any of a number of emotions and experiences related to a sense of strong affection. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure ("I loved that meal") to intense interpersonal attraction ("I love my girlfriend"). This diversity of meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states."

Here's hoping everyone of you have a great day and a great week. Someone once pointed out that when Jesus commanded that "We love one another" He never said that we needed to agree with one another. Let's make this a week in which we love one another regardless of our worldly beliefs. Although I don't know most of the TOTVers, I can understand what Wikipedia states above ("generic pleasure") because I feel grateful that I found this site and learn from your input. Thank you.

Donna 10-12-2008 09:44 AM

Thanks TK..:agree:

Cassie325 10-12-2008 09:47 AM

oh tK....THANK YOU FOR THIS!! We can't wait till you are here in person...but until then...you are with us in our hearts!!

Love

After spending time with you, I knew I had met a wonderful, fine, funny, smart, joyful, sensitive, kind, loving man. Your post is beautiful. Thank you for posting it.

In such a turmultious time in this world; love, tolerance, unity, and kindnesses are needed. I found all these things make my life a lot less stressful. We are all unique and different, yet all the same. We are all human. We make mistakes. Including myself. I want to publicly say sorry if I have hurt anyone on this board. I know that sometimes I'm hurting and I respond too quick with words I wish I hadn't. We all do. We are human.

Everyone needs to be sensitive to others feelings, as we don't know their personal strifes. There are so many things that put people on edge. The war, the economy, illnesses and loss of family, loss of jobs, worrying our children can heat their homes up north and provide for themselves and their children, our grandchildren, and so many other problems that put stress on our individual lives. I'm hoping your post will bring folks together. I'm hoping apologies will be made. I'm hoping for unity, respect, kindness and LOVE. I need a tissue and a hug. ED!!!!!!!!!!!

TKRET, Gene, thanks for opening my heart!

nONIE 10-12-2008 11:34 AM

Thankyou so much Tkret, :agree:Wholeheartedly with your post, and also I always wondered what the word LOVE actually meant! I mean, I thought I knew ,but this certainly expanded the definition for me.

RR,
From my perspective, your heart has always been filled with compassion, and compassion is probably the most important asset we have. It's the one thing I always hoped to pass on to my children.

beady 10-13-2008 07:21 AM

Well said Blondie , Rhonda and Tkret

We must be thankful for every day and mindful of the stressful situation we all are experiencing.

Blondie, I so agree with you on this. I had always hoped to raise kind compassinate children. It did not matter if they didnt get top grades in school,it didnt matter if they were the best player on the soccer team, I just wanted them to be Kind, sensitive, adults, and if they turned out to be good people then I knew I did my job right! I am so proud to say, my kids are "the Best!" (drive me crazy at times yes indeed, but overall Great adults!)

chachacha 10-13-2008 11:34 AM

TKRET...... and everyone.... these inspirational posts will keep me warm during the upcoming Oregon winter :clap2:

How ironic that some few individuals have chosen, this week, to establish their own Forum away from TOTV

Y'all are the BEST !:agree:

chelsea24 10-13-2008 11:55 AM

Very Nice.

Apples don't fall far from the tree.

Love is what you are made of.

Blondie 10-13-2008 02:20 PM

Nonie, According to my definition of success, you are one of the most successful folks I know, and I bet your kids have benefitted greatly for it. BTW, when are you returning...I hope it's before I leave. :)

I agree with all of you...Sometimes a persons tongue can cut sharper than a knife, and we all need to stay focused on the feelings of others..

We have all been good friends here, laughing, sharing ups and downs, that was why TOTV was such a huge success, we met here, hung out here and shared our hopes and dreams here..

Lets hope and pray the coming week will be better for all of us!

Cassie325 10-13-2008 04:12 PM

Donna...your post was perfect!! Thank you....no matter what our differences...no matter where our lives take us....no matter what has happened....we have been here on TOTV for each other...no matter who we are, where we are, what gender, what race, what age....we are important to each other.

TOTV is the best website for anyone interested in TV's and the people in or wanting to be in...or living just outside (Pete and Frank to name a few)....

Political talk, lawn and landscaping, sink holes, lunches out.....and so many topics...so many interests...so many opportunities to make friends and buddies....as Donna would say...."our peeps".....

I hope we stay this way...I have much hope and great faith that we will....

Talk Host 10-13-2008 05:00 PM

I don't think you all know how much better I feel. This is the type of conversation we are suppose to be having here. I hope that this tone continues for a long time.

The TOTV cruise was the first opportunity that Amity and I had to get to know some of the members.
We came back all lit up like light bulbs feeling that we had met some great people and made lots of friends. We really really enjoyed our time with EVERYBODY. Tony and I had the rare opportunity to have some private time with almost everybody, individually while on the cruise. When I would see one of our people, I would think, "hey, there's so and so, I hope we have time to talk." I have been on over a dozen cruises and this was one of the most enjoyable for me, thanks to ALL of the TOTV members who were there.

JLK

chelsea24 10-13-2008 05:09 PM

Agreed!

I agree with you 100% Jan. That was a wonderful time. TOTV'ers are the best in the world. And so are you admins. A special thank you to you 3 guys. :eclipsee_gold_cup:

beady 10-13-2008 06:47 PM

I agree with Jan and Chelsea and everyone else that has posted on this thread.

The cruise was delightful and I so enjoyed getting to know my fellow TOTV "peeps". They are all terrific people.....how would I have ever connected with you all without TOTV.

I will say again something I said in this thread. These are stressful times for us all and we must keep that in mind and be extra kind to each other.

renielarson 10-13-2008 07:00 PM

I wish only the best for all of you. I wish not only a better week for you but for me also because I have been deeply hurt this past week. God bless you all.

nONIE 10-13-2008 07:11 PM

Amen to all your sincere posts . Today I received something in an e-mail that seemed so appropriate in view of all the recent discord.

"Continue to rise to the Challenge to choose love . That is the most important thing you can do during these troubled times."

"

graciegirl 10-13-2008 07:41 PM

amen.

Chels..:agree: We have a great group of PEEPS! Some of us have been here from it's very inception and all stuck together to make TOTV what it is today..
Tony, Jan, and DK, do a terrific job with their dedication, and perserverence..That will always be appreciated..

We have a lot to be thankful for, lets count our blessings, and move forward!

KathieI 10-14-2008 10:20 AM

Donna, as usual, you are so right!!

What a wonderful group of people (peeps) we have, that is why I moved completely across country just to be with them. I have felt such warmth and love by the group of people I have met and enjoyed their company.

We've had great times and wonderful memories (even the one where I almost killed Redwitch with the chocolate cake... (sorry Red!), remember the jammie party? What a great time that was. 30 people showed up with food and drinks and no jammies (oops) but they were dressed... I picked out this house so HB and I could drink lemonade on the lanai and look at the pond and I hope as soon as she gets here we can do just that.....

But like all friendships, we must love one another, be forgiving and respectful of each other, overlook shortcomings or differences of opinions, and continue to DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!!! We are very blessed to have made it this far and be living in the most wonderful place on earth with the most wonderful people on earth.

And we all have TOTV to thank for all this. Without it, we would never have met. I love all my friends on TOTV, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart!!

nONIE 10-14-2008 10:48 AM

Kathie you are a beautiful person inside and out. We love and appreciate you from the bottom of our hearts. Always stay as forgiving and loving as you are today, You cant go wrong if you do.

My heart is singing saprano because of everyones compassion and kindness!

LA LALA LALA!!!!!!!!!!(OMG) I cant even stand myself!!!!

chelsea24 10-14-2008 10:59 AM

Forgiveness and Love go Hand in Hand.

“To forgive is the highest, most beautiful form of love. In return, you will receive untold peace and happiness.”

“There is no love without forgiveness, and there is no forgiveness without love.”

These are two of my favorite quotes. I hold all of my dear TOTV friends in my heart. We are all good people. ((((GROUP HUG))))
