Hadley Women's Club

Hi Friends,
I heard today that there is a Hadley Women's Club. Since I live in Hadley and I am a woman, I'm very interested. Does anyone have any information?

I'd be interested too. I've seen Calendar Girls a dozen times and I always wanted to join a women's club. What do you think?

graciegirl 10-12-2008 03:44 PM

We are having the Calendar shoot at my house on the 27th of this month. Please bring whatever items that you want in your picture and have a pretty good idea what month you want to be.

Now wait a minute - I'm sure there are women's clubs that don't pose for calendars. If every women's club made a calendar, can you imagine the display at Barnes and Noble? Nevertheless, I pick December - behind the Christmas tree.

Well, if there's not going to be a calendar........

GG Interesting you should ask........I have mentioned previously that my daughter is getting married here in RI next week ( 16 days til we leave for TV for GOOD) and of course I had to buy one of THOSE dresses. Well, for the first time in my life, I also had to buy a strapless bra. So I went off to Macy's to meet with the CERTIFIED BRA INSPECTOR who took lots of measurements and calculated I needed a 40D. I was shocked and appalled. Remember the Oprah show some time ago where it was revealed that MILLIONS of American women are running around in the wrong size bra???? Well I'm one of them. No wonder I'm sometimes SOB (that's short of breath). My bra is too tight.
So the short answer is D coconuts.
Will this now be moved to the landscape forum?????

Peachie 10-13-2008 07:49 AM

Where can I buy one of these calendars for Mr. Peachie, inquiring minds want to know.........:a040:

We have you penciled in for July and August and have the bikini bottoms ready. Did you want to hold a glass of white wine or a pitcher of beer?

graciegirl 10-14-2008 12:51 PM

Let's DO have a Hadley Woman's club. I would so like to have it at each others house. I love to see how people have taken virtually the same house and made it their own. I promise I won't say any more about the "Calendar" if you let me join and possibly be one of the first Hostesses. Anyone interested? Now if the hosting at home thingy doesn't please you, we could have it at Colony. Tell me your thoughts. We could all bring snacks to share and our own drink so that it would be easy. Someone who is a better leader than me can run with this. ANYONE? I will be there from the 25th of this month with a trip home to help Santa and then...on and on I hope. GG

Coconuts 10-14-2008 01:09 PM

We will be arriving in Florida soon to close on our new home in Hadley nov 3.
I seriously am interested in some sort of neighborhood club and don't know if perhaps there is already something in place. We will be arriving with boxes, suitcases and a conspicuous lack of furniture. So Honey and I will have our work cut out for us. I hate to shop!!!!!! But I am anxious to get to know our new neighbors and think a women's club is a grand idea.

:a040:I would love to run with this, but I'm not there full time! Any ideas, Kathi?

Gracie, will the calendars be ready soon? I am starting to Christmas shop for Mr. Peachie.... :faint:

graciegirl 11-14-2008 12:21 PM

No. And the printer for the Calendars is really giving me a lot of pressure to have them compiled by the end of the year. Coconuts? You are here now and before my Brownie battery dies we need to do a photo shoot. Boomer, you are the phantom and we have you as the month of October.( Just a plain sheet with two holes. I have used some props for the holes......Since you are so photo shy.)

Ahhh, well, I'll just put a note in Mr. Peachie's stocking and let him know the calendar is coming soon.

*A little hint for Boomer's October page... feature two eyes with a pronounced glint in them. After that last thread regarding, ahem... farts, I think you need to display her seriously mischievous side. :pepper2:

Boomer 11-14-2008 06:15 PM

I have GOT to get new reading glasses. The other night I thought a thread was titled "Fine Arts" but it really said "Fire Ants."

And just now, when I looked at the list of topics, I thought this one said "Harley Women's Club."

And then I read here in the thread that I am supposed to be in some kind of calendar shoot.

WHAT!!!

Boomer

meriboo 11-14-2008 07:12 PM

I too need to change my 'clothing' after reading all of this. As a wannabe sounds like Hadley is the place to buy, for some good laughs on a daily basis. Keep your thoughts coming...you put asmile on lots of peoples faces.

graciegirl 11-14-2008 08:15 PM

Welcome Meriboo. Come and join all of us in Paradise!!!:welcome::welcome:

sschuler1 11-14-2008 11:25 PM

Meriboo, we've already dubbed the village of Hadley as party central. So this thread did not suprise me in the least. GG, you sound like quite the organizer, don't know why you would need someone else to start it. Just take it and run with it. You are sooo nice that everyone would show up to your house for the first meeting. You can decide from there whether to have it at a rec center or continue at member's homes. Wish I could be there with all of you!!!!

Bra size

I'm planning on moving in this Summer. Please save the month for me that would work best for a 34 Long!

graciegirl 01-31-2009 08:19 PM

You are penciled in Janie. Bring 'em down here.
