Have you seen any pelicans?
I don't know why I find pelicans so interesting but I do. Maybe, just maybe there are others that like watching or taking photos of pelicans and we could use this thread to give each other a heads up.

None so far on our pond
A bit early I think.
While playing the first hole of the Calusa golf course at Belle Glade, last Friday, we saw five white pelicans sitting along the edge of the pond.
I see them daily...but I am sort of cheating. We're spending a little time oceanfront in SC. They are quite graceful in flight, especially when they fly barely above the water. Now diving for food...not so graceful
I saw one yesterday at Sand Hill 8am in the pond in between the 2nd and 3rd hole. Someone in another thread by the hospital a group gathers but I can't remember where or when.
Our pond (Summerhill) has had a lot for at least the past week.

There has been just one in our pond in Lake Deaton for a couple of days but hoping more will follow.
This week I saw almost a hundred white pelicans at a pond off Odell between Morse and Buena Vists - visible from Odell. We love it when they come to the water behind us. They are fascinating to watch as they work together to corral fish. Watching them land from the air is a treat - reminds you of a plane as they put their wings out.
Lots of them on Belle Glade last Friday morning.
Saw over 30 on Belle Glade this morning.
White Pelicans daily at the back of the driving range pond at Lopez GC. You can get a good view from the walking trail that boarders the rear of the pond.
Saw a couple on the Neighborly Way pond the past couple of days.

There are lots of white Pelicans around. As always they are a delight to watch, especially the way they cooperate to fish.
Saw a few (5-10) flying into the pond on Canal south of O'Dell (probably Village of Hemingway. It's the same pond I was told is used for fly-fishing. The interesting thing was that also lining the shore were probably 20-30 white egrets, lined up every few feet along the shore - usually I only see one or two egrets at a time at any one pond, maybe up to 4 or 5, but not a lot.

I haven't seen any this year. Last year there were scores
Saw a bunch in the pond along Hillsbough
Lots of white pelicans near the pond where Hillsborough Trail and Oracle Ct. meet.
Yes. I was golfing at Spruce creek and there was a large flock that flew by. At least from far away they look like pelicans. They were large white and had black on there wing tips. Could be mistaken but it was the only bird I know that looks like that.
I live on the sixth hole hacienda lakes and there are many on the lake as I type
Saw them at Colony today.
I saw one in flight over Truman Pickleball Courts...everyone ran for cover
How long do the Pelicans stay?
They were on the pond North of Colony Rec center this morning.
I saw them this morning 11 am circling Sand Hill.
