There is no charge for attending the Biden event, which is open to the public. Tickets are not required, although an RSVP is recommended, according to Obama's campaign Web site. People interested in attending can submit their RSVP at www.barackobama.com.

Dancing Horses Farm is located at 8711 W. State Road 40. Gates will open at 9 a.m., with the main program to start at 11 a.m. The Obama campaign is asking that for security reasons people do not bring bags or umbrellas and to limit personal items. No signs or banners will be permitted.

I already voted though so I do not think I will be attending any more political rallies of any kind.

I'm going!!!! I just hope we can get in because I'm sure they'll be alot of people there.

I heard on the radio that Senator Bidden made an impromptu visit to Kilwins in Spanish Springs!!! I wish I hadn't given up my daily ice cream fix!!

That would have been exciting to see him watch him walk through the door!!

I don't care what side your on....still fun to see a famous person...political or celebrity....walk through the door of the local ice cream shop!! :coolsmiley:

Seems the wife and I were at Starbucks and about 15 motorcycle policeman pulled up in front of the store. Being curious I came out and looked around and was told that a political figure was here in Spanish Springs. I went around the corner and lo and behold as I approached this large bus, out stepped Sen Biden with a big grin on his face.

I was parked in a spot that. because of Sen Biden I had to U turn to leave the area, which is surely enough reason to oppose him, dont you think ?:)

I was wondering...with all of the hate filled remarks, sublte(not) racial overtones, name calling, attacks and insulting I can totally see it. Looking foward to someone figuring out the appropriateness of it again.

Best thing to do is just not engage, let any and every post contaminated by that behavior die of its own accord.

We all know there were plenty of ice crean shops between Ocala and Biden's next stop other than in The Villages.

I think it might have been a little "stick it in your ear" directed towards the Morse family, who have made it impossible for Democratic candidates to hold large rallies in TV. It's kind of hard to stop a motorcade with a dozen police car if they decide to stop in your town square without warning. Who was going to interfere, the Village Watch?

I'll bet you won't see any coverage of Biden's visit in The Daily Sun. Or very much about Caroline Kennedy's rally either.

Or, maybe he's just a big Kilwin's fan....just looked them up on the web...they are a large franchise with locations in about a dozen states. :icon_hungry:

I am going to complete reading the coverage in the Sun of Sen Bidens visit and got to go out....that give you all day to back up your accusation about the Morse family, who by the way never have ever tried to hide the fact that they are Republicans and give much to them....much the same as the Hollywood stars or Oprah or whomever !

Chelsea....while I know we don't always agree on "everything"...I agree on this and think this was a GREAT move on Biden's part. I didn't like the little R twist at the end of the article this morning....but the FRONT page was great....and his appearence made a huge mark....200 people for an unnounced, surprise visit is GREAT!!! Good for him!! You go JOE!!:pepper2:
