Big thanks from a disabled vet
I just wanted to thank the person who left the note on my car at the seabreeze rec center on saturday. I am so very happy you are watching my car and will continue to do so to verify if i am disabled and have a disabled placard. My suggestion is that you call the department of motor vehicles or better yet the local police before you leave harassing notes on a car. No need to thank me for my service your "nice" note said it all.

I'm grateful for your service.
Don't let the one or two knuckleheads in the crowd ruin your day. Besides, if everyone who was grateful left a note on your car, your windshield wipers would get bent. |

Please allow me to thank you for your service. |
Did you forget to display your placard? I can understand someone wanting to protect the handicapped spots from abuse and, hopefully, this was the case here even though it sounds like a kinder note could have been left. Having lived with a disabled mother, I sincerely appreciated those who cared enough to make sure someone was entitled to park in a handicapped spot. Sorry, just not enough facts given to condemn anyone.

Mean, miserable people suck. Thank you for your service!
|
Thank you for your service and please don't think twice about some unkind and nasty person.
If I had been there, I would have smacked them good. |
Thank you for your service. But I have to admit I had the same question as redwitch.

WELCOME HOME, BROTHER. Glad you're here.

Leaving notes on anyone's car is generally creepy.
|
Posted this also on a Village facebook page and it was removed by I guess the facebook page administrator. WOW.................

Thanks again!! |
Sounds like another of those who feel they can tell just by looking if someone is disabled or not. If they observed you entering or leaving your vehicle, it's kind of cowardly to leave a note instead of asking you in person. Then they'd just be really rude instead of what they showed themselves to be.

Thank you for your service. Some people have nothing better to do with their time than mind other people's business.

You've gotta be kidding. All you did was risk your life and dedicate years of your life for our country and this idiot leaves you a note like that, they have no rite to touch your property. You owe nobody any explanation at all for parking in a handicapped spot even if you went inside and forgot your placard. They have no rite to play Barney Fife and question you at all. People really have gotten outta hand. You know the one who left that note is probably up to their necks in illegal activities and is trying to cover it up by messing with you. Like Gracie said They deserve a good smack down but then again they might like it. Bastards! Thank for making the way we live our lives possible. With all Respect.

Thanks

Dang! Talk about a mob mentality. Lot's of vitriol. If you're really that bad off that you need a handicap permit, then sorry for your inconvenience. You can blame the many placard users that hop out of their car and walk briskly into the stores for an hour of shopping, or the placard users that take up a HC spot while their 25 yo son runs into the convenience store. HC parking has exploded in this country. It is either because of abuse of the system, or the USA has become a very unhealthy country. Definitely more enforcement and scrutiny is needed in this area. BTW, before you tell me that this is my imagination, the government announced it is going to increase scrutiny of SS disability claimants due to suspicion of fraud and abuse.

You are 100% right, lots of folks using the system. I earned my disabled from a Purple Heart. Worked 30 plus years until my injuries won out.
|
thankyou
Thank you from another vet of that same era. SOme people can be very self rightous about things. hopefully they will see this posting and man up to it. People have it so good now they forget what it used to be like.
|
Totally inexcusable if your handicapped placard or license plate were visible.
|
I am sorry someone left a note on your car. Why would they? If you were parked in a handicapped parking space, and you have disabled license plate, you do not need a placard on your mirror. We have the plate, so we don't have to use the placard.

I don't think there is a law that makes leaving a nonthreatening note on someone's windshield illegal....yet.
