Any interest in a BMW car club? I have checked the club listings in a couple different locations and didn't see any. Maybe I missed it. If not, perhaps I should start one.

Any interest?

Why not start a German car club to include Porsche, Audi, BMW, and Volkswagen.

Chi-Town 03-01-2016 10:10 AM

Don't forget the Trabant.

Kevin and Luci 03-04-2016 06:52 AM

Sounds like a great idea, go for it!

blaZen 03-04-2016 03:12 PM

Have you contacted the BMW Car Club of America? I'm a forty year member with a 2006 Z3 M roadster and a 2011 328i convertible. Bought my first new BMW in 1974.

graciegirl 03-04-2016 03:18 PM

Any interest in a not new Chrysler Van club?

keithwand 03-04-2016 06:28 PM

1st time owner 2016 X5. Lots of BMWs in my neighborhood including Minis.

wholman66 03-04-2016 07:29 PM

Might be interested, we are fairly new to BMW, 2014 X-3. Our first, ordered it like we wanted it!

blaZen 03-05-2016 09:19 AM

Why not try a "cars and coffee" meet? We attempted that two years ago, little interest at that time.

quietBern 03-05-2016 12:46 PM

Could I be included in this club? My initials are BMW:loco:

Retiring 03-05-2016 12:53 PM

How about an Elio club?

Probably best to stick with BMW. Clubs for Porsche and Mini's are already in existence and there are a flock of BMW convertibles in the Villages Convertible Club.
For the record, I'd be interested in a BMW club.

looneycat 03-25-2016 11:01 AM

i dont buy cars built by nazi profiteers that used slave labor and stole the businesses of jews in germany.

Chatbrat 03-25-2016 11:16 AM

I'm a landsman & I buy nothing but German cars-the technology & safety in a 5 year old Benz is finally appearing in other brands. I look @ a car as the way I would look @a parachute--its meant to save your life and protect you from un foreseen dangers.

Car Wars

Why do I keep hearing that song in my head? You know the one, the one that goes, "My friends all drive Porsches. I must make amends. Worked hard all my life. No help from my friends".........

Oh well, whatever that song is, I think those German cars, all, are nice.

Hey! Gotta run. My phone is ringing :) ........ "Dialin' for Dollars is tryin' to reach me".....Darn it. They said it was Dialin' for Dullards. (sigh)

Most are nice. Not all. I'll keep my secrets to myself. Well maybe not. I prefer MB autos.

Oh my goodness. I bet nobody knows the song. The song in my head was Janis Joplin. I nearly wore that Pearl album out. (It's got "Me and Bobby McGee" on it, too. -- Uh, oh, I feel ancient.) Now, it's on my iPod, iPad, all those iThings.

BMWs. Porsches. Mercedes. They all turn my head.

When we were driving down I-75 last time, I saw a license plate on a Benz that said, "BMW LOL." -- Don't remember which state plate it was.

WAIT! WAIT! Please don't be mad at me. -- I just checked the availability of that one for Florida. Somebody's got it........BUT you could still get "BNZ LOL" -- might look good on a BMW.

Boomer, smiling fiendishly

PS: Here's the song. I like BMWs, too, but I guess it was too hard for Janis to find something that rhymes with W.

Warning: The following song could get stuck in your head.

PPS: I apologize for hijacking this thread. I don't know what came over me. Slow night in Boomerville, I guess. Hope your club goes well. I must be off.....

Your mention of Janis Joplin reminded me of when I was in college (UMASS -Amherst) in 1970. What a show she put on.

Jimjane 03-27-2016 06:21 AM
