Annual Villages Survey
Just completed my annual survey from The Villages. Noticed one item that I must question....in order to complete this survey the resident has to be a subscriber to The Villages.Net at the cost of $8/week. Oh, you could go to Savannah Center and use the computer there! What do you think???

$8/month. I belong but didn't have to sign in to do the survey, so I am guessing that you don't have to join, it is an easy place to post the survey.

Tried to take the survey today. It was so slow I gave up. Sat on page three for 10 minutes. Felt like I was on a dial up system. Checked my internet speed and it was good at 75 MB/12 MB. No problem with any other site. Anyone else having a problem?

As I have not received my forwarded from Ohio annual survey notice, I asked for a new survey number at the district office. Then, I went to the www.districtgov.org site to follow the link to begin the survey.

Villages Survey
For several years I completed The Villages Survey. I no longer do so. The reason why is that they don't publish the results of the questions. What we get is a vague, massaged compilation from some of the departments. I want to see the exact results of all the questions, good or bad as other survey results are published. If it's embarassing, so what, let's have the truth.

What awful truth could that be? |
I tried doing it yesterday and it was so slow I could not get past page three. All other things worked perfectly on my computer. I think it is a sales tool anyway. The sales department published the percentage of folks satisfied and who would recommend this as a place to live. Who wouldn't? If you don't want to live here, it is easy to sell and get out. I am here by choice. I will try again another day.

I completed the survey yesterday after trying to sign in and got the message, "server not available".
Having worked in the IT industry, sometimes when a server has too much traffic on it, it gets slower and then crashes. That's my guess anyway. The most I am hoping for it that my suggestion they change the street signs, so they are staggered, will be considered. It is impossible to see a side street especially at night, when they are at the same height. For now, my GPS, will have to suffice. I have no hope they will consider that a single resident would get some type of accommodation for bringing a non-resident to a function, where an villages I.D is required. I know some married people will say, "dems the rules and you knew what you signed up for", but to me it is still a bias, against single people. We pay the same fees as married people do. I am also not hopeful to get a Trader Joe's or Cosco in the near future but that's me. I will survive without a problem. BTW - It was clear that you didn't need to select the option of subscribing to the villages dot net. |
Did mine at 3 am went quick.

Thanks for asking. I think you are confused. :icon_wink: |
I would like to have more questions about lifestyle needs. We already purchased, I really don't care about how easy it is to buy homes. Where do you add about additional amenities?
I had no problems with the response time when doing the survey. |
I am thankful that after filling out the survey over the last few years, my opinion mattered. I am thankful for an unlimited supply of mattress stores, Subway restaurants, and financial institutions. :evil6:
