That's the problem.

I feel that the insight and comedy of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and the Colbert Report was an important news source in American politics that we no longer have a daily basis. It was just as important to follow Fox News and CNN at the same time and sort it out for yourself.

There are substitutes but at least in an election year I think they had an obligation to speak truth to power for one more year. Or maybe they could have weaned us off. I guess doing your own research is healthier but who has that amount of time.

Was too lengthy but comedians have been given such rich material this election cycle that they can't help thenselves.

Trump has a good sense of humor. He could do stand up for sure. I heard him say today that there were seventeen candidates at one time. He then referred to Cruz and Kasich as two leftovers. Now that's funny.

Heard Hillary today inciting violence. She said "you need to stand up to bullies." Guess if Donald said it, it would be a law breaker, but in her case, it's just more useless blather and pandering.

I don't know whats worse, building a wall that can't be bought, can't be maintained, will cost land owners their own property, will keep illegals out (although we are already exporting more than are coming in now, will not help in the ways most illegals get here by plane ... but even after all that, what is really stupid is how stupid the low information voters who support this fraud, believe in the wall.

OK...here's a reality check for the wall. Forget the cost or the feasibility. History (or mythology) teaches us a lesson.

My favorite Trump clip in the the video is that after he realizes that all you need for one side is a ladder, he starts to say but what about the other side and then he says "I suppose a rope would work".

There reasoning that it can't be done:

Too expensive -- but benefits to illegals is not
Too hard -- But building bridges and highways is easy
Impossible -- even though it has been done hundreds of years in the past
Will have to take private property -- but taking their taxes is ok

It's a Republican idea -- That is the real reason it can't be done.

Check the history of the Chinese Wall of you think that was an easy thing to build. It also took decades if not centuries to maintain and also was not all that successful at stopping invaders.

I wish there was a way we could put together a WPA effort to put people to work and repair the infrastructure. That might cost money we don't have because we are building a wall. I forgot, Mexico is paying for it.

How about repairing our bridges and highways here in the US instead of building a wall that drug dealers and others can and will probably easily defeat by going under or blasting through in remote areas? Or going under in populated areas where they would have a hard time of putting in deeply embedded walls.

Are you or was you land owner on the border? I bet they would be all for it to stop the illegal trustpassers trashing their property? The wall should of be build in the 30s during the new deal. It would of been money well spent.

I sincerely doubt that. Most of the border property owners would welcome a way to keep illegal invaders off their property. Apparently, trespassing signs are only valid to American citizens.
