Happiness will be seeing Obama's back as he leaves D.C. for the last time. There will be dancing in the street. I even quit watching SNL because he might be on it (actually I don't watch it anyway). He is such an @ss. My only fear is that he'll still get air time on TV.

Try google! The Gallup Poll had George W. Bush's approval rating at 34% when he left office. His average (2001-2009) was 49%. First term average 62%. Second term average 37%. High point 90% (Sept. 21-22, 2001. Low point 25% (3 times).

I am sure all you that like to quote popularity figures do know those are not neccessarily good indicators.

For example the passing of or promoting of doing something that is right and prudent but unpopular. The person doing the right thing will get a lower rating depending how the questions are formed and asked.

So like any other poll these indicators are at best convenient feel good numbers when in one's direction.

They in no way express the effectiveness of the job at hand or being done.

Well, if you consider a 45% increase in those at poverty level and a 157% increase in those getting foot stamps, as a good economy. 45 million families on food stamps is higher than any other president had. If things are so good, how do you have so many out of work and so many on welfare? And don't even give me that false unemployment number. That just means that everyone else gave up looking for work. Tell the minorities that they are doing better in this administration than the last.

When I stated they should do some homework I was hopeful (more like dreaming out loud) they would dsicover or re-discover some of the real life indicators. Polls like accounting can say anything you want them to say. The news media used polls to determine which of the presidential candidate would get center stage. We see that was a mistake.

The public gets poll numbers but they seldom view what questions were asked and to whom and how many?

I often get asked to complete a survey. I can tell by the questions asked that the organization taking the survey already knows how I will answer a) because it knows more about me than my wife b) because the questions are presented in such a manner that there is only one selection for me ....and this organization knows it. c) questions pertain to likability and not substance.

So I do not complete any survey, questionaire, etc I won't play anyone's useful idiot.

There will always be people who like those on the Titanic couldn't believe it would sink until he did.

There will always be people who believe the Obama spin until the spinning stops. I mean after all the progressives and their news paper heavily invested in Obama twice 2008-2012 and they won't admit they were wrong. We all know that polls can show whatever the pool takers want it to show. You merely poll people who agree with you. I would like Gallup take a presidential popularity poll of the taxpayers of this country & see how the numbers change. After all, the 47% freeloaders who pay no taxes will always admire the great Santa who gives them their free stuff from his stash.

You will be hearing a lot of President Obama in 2017 and later as he plans to stay in DC. And if Sanders or Clinton becomes President then much of his agenda will continue.

I do not see any Republican taking the White House unless the RNC really gets its act together.
