As reported in today's Daily Sun, Sen. Lindsay Graham said he endorses Ted Cruz for President because he (Cruz) "is not completely crazy".

He also said in the same article that IF Trump were to be elected President, there would be nothing passed in Congress.

Mighty sad state of affairs to have candidates like this to be the frontrunners of the GOP, isn't it?

Be ready for posts about Clinton or Obama, because that's all some posters have to answer your question.

Versus what you have to say? Nothing but one liners?

Well, I will be among the first, since I am the OP, to admit that Sen. Sanders would have very little chance of having any of his wish list passed by Congress. Mrs. Clinton would have a better possibilty of having moderate bills passed than any other candidate. She is a good politician and knows the horse trading games they play on Capitol Hill.

Your perspective is just what the establishment is counting on. The established, incumbent, crony, politics as usual (both R & D) do not want an outsider to come in and shake up their comfort self serving positions.

Mighty sad state of affairs to have some we the people who are so easily duped by the establishment. But then again these are the same people who continue to re-elect the politics as usual cronys.

Let's see, Lindsay endorsed Bush first. Lindsay had to drop out of the race because his only thought line was fighting ISIS. Bush dropped out, so Lindsay now endorses Cruz. Romney lost to Obama. Romney endorsed Kasich, then he endorsed Cruz. No one in congress or the Republican party establishment could stand Cruz before now. So, I guess it is safe to say that the enemy of my enemy is my friend seems to be the theme here. If the final election comes down to Trump and Clinton, is the Republican establishment going to side with Clinton? Crazy as that sounds, it sure seems possible considering the animosity they have for Trump.

Note: I am a Republican and I did not vote for trump in the primary. Just making an observation.

A tirade is a long, angry speech of criticism or accusation. Is there a word for a short, angry speech of criticism or accusation?

For some it's just called "their usual post" or TUP for short.

Sanders has been in Congress since 91. He doesn't know about beltway politics? You're kidding right?

Sure, Sen. Sanders does know insider politics ... and it either be him or Hillary Clinton who will be the next President.

No, Sanders will not get the majority of votes. The only votes he will get will be from the children that want free college. No one else will vote for a commie. And most are smart enough to know that he is offerening to raise EVERYONE'S taxes.

Hillary will be indicted, probably right after she is nominated. That will throw off the whole DNC campaign.

Trump will likely fall short of delegates to get the automatic nomination. The RNC will nominate someone else, possibly Kasich since they have him stealing votes from Trump and Cruz. That is probably what they promised him. Either that or a VP slot. And they WILL chose the VP either way you look at it.

Of course, this is not written in stone. Just like everything else on here, it is an opinion.

I went looking for a broader base for Sanders and it's not easy to find. I really thought the middle class or those that used to be the middle class understand how and why they got pushed down. I think most of them are too busy working and trying to make ends meet to bother much with politics. they don't have a lobby. They just have votes.

In another thread someone mentioned Animal Farm. They were right there is a lot about today that seems like the lessons in Animal Farm. The book, when I first read it exposed the dangers of Stalinism.

I think the middle class are like the animals that say "I will just work harder" and that ill solve the problem.

Ah yes, the reason to endorse a candidate for President of the USA is "because he is not completely crazy".

Not completely crazy means wanting to carpet bomb Syria and other countries regardless of how many innocents are killed? It means nuking those countries until the sand glows in the dark?

He's not the "preferred" candidate, Hillary is "their guy", that's why you don't hear anything about him, they just don't cover him. They did the same with Ron Paul the R "unliked" candidate last cycle.

Trump is a puzzle...the media gives him SO MUCH attention, I often wonder if this whole thing isn't a ruse, more of the political theater. Is it all for ratings? Or more nefarious reasons? Is the presidency on his bucket list? Is he really working for the R party and all this is just "reality TV" for attention taken from Hillary? He's "pals" with the Clinton's "off camera", is he trying to take the election from the R party? I have no idea. I know he's "one of them", he's buddies with the powerful, the bankers, the corporations. I just don't know.

The people are deliberately kept ignorant. The last thing you want to do is watch the "news" and listen to "polls". It's all propaganda to sway your thinking.

When did you "wake up"? Upon retirement? That's when it happened to me, I had time to "look into things", and learned just how bad it is, the corruption, the stealing is rampant.

Our government is nothing but organized theft from the people. One party brings in these industries to promote, the other party brings in those industries to promote. An endless cycle of graft and theft.

That's a brave question to ask around here. Retirement is when I started to look things up that I never had the time to do before. I had mentors. Mostly family that are smarter then me, half younger, one is my son. I'm open minded and use common sense. My mother taught me about the importance of gut instincts too. Smart enough at least to know who is smart and who isn't.

Trump's media attention is not a puzzle to me. He has it all, including 3 hot wives and a playboy past. When he speaks he has no filters and for the most part says what jumps into his head. He is different because he doesn't take the time to write a speech or think out issues well in advance. I think he is the person most shocked that he got this far. And that's construed as not being PC. I can't get enough of him and look forward to the tweets and the one liners like this. "I know words, I know great words"

Not only is Trump's wife a looker, but she also speaks five languages and runs a business. On top of that, she is getting a lot of traction from her old pre-marriage modeling photos that are about 16+ years old. She still looks pretty darn good though. She would make a nice accessory to the White House.

Does it matter? Is there an educational prerequisite? There isn't one for the position of president.

I think education matters in some circles. I think the circles the President is in is made up of highly educated people. Suppose the conversation is about NATO and she is not sure what NATO is. She might feel like a fish out of water.

Perhaps she could come to one of my parties instead. None of my friends know too much about NATO either.

There are a lot of Bilinguals and Multilinguals in America and more to come. That's an old joke.
