YES, when a serial under performer in life, that has absolutely no personal wealth to show (for his age, education, or service) wants to take from the rich and give it to the poor, it does remind me of a Robin Hood adventure.

You might be ready to just throw the towel in (or have already) and just join the crowd of takers...but if we are all takers how is that going to work out? If we all end up with the same no matter what effort or sacrifice we put forward in life; why would I (or anyone else!) want to work? So they can be punished financially if they did better than "Poor Steve" or "Poor John" (like "Poor" was on their birth certificate, LOL)? I know there will be no incentive for me to do anything other than lay on my ass watching TV in the provided housing, while keeping up with my social media on my Obamma phone!

So, now you know what I think? Well, this is what I think, those that truly want to get ahead in life find a way. I never expected anyone to give me anything that I didn't earn, and I don't envy those that have been more successful, nor do I expect them to share the fruits of their labor with me.

I have spend much of my life living abroad and hold dual citizenship, U.S. and German. First hand experience living abroad and in the U.S. has proven to me that capitalism benefits far more people than socialism. But, then again in a free market economy you actually have to be productive if you want to achieve anything in life. Does the word productive scare you?

You need to think about your grandchildren. If you are an American you have been helped by the labors of your elders. You just don't see it or appreciate it.

Why would they not have the same opportunities that you have had? What has changed? My children and grandchildren are well on their way to being successful. In fact they are likely to do better than my upper middle class income and lifestyle.

Do you really believe that an economy where the government controls the means of production and distribution (i.e., socialism) is the answer. Spend some time in a socialist country (not just a vacation) and you just might have a different attitude toward socialism.

I can't go on vacations much less move there. I don;t have that kind of money or time. I read about the top 10 socialists countries starting with Finland. Forgetting the climate it sounds like a nice, safe middle class place to live.

You are brainwashed into believing your grandchildren will have no future unless we take the wealthy guys money and send our grandchildren to college with it...I bet none of the colleges have a problem with that notion, but why don't you ask the 30 year olds working retail and restaurants around here if they have a college education (I bet more of them do than not, and there was no jobs in their field when they got the degree). You don't have to go to college to have a good life and good income. I believe there is quite a bit of money to be made in the service industry (somebody is going to be paid to fix what ever the doctor needs to be fixed), but you got to be motivated at whatever it is you do (aspire to be more than the person working next to you). That might be hard for your kids and grandchildren, as they say; the apple does not fall too far from the tree. I guess that can be illustrated with the other poster that is not in favor of socialistic ideas, as he pointed out his kids and grandchildren are on the road to success, and you the "bustout" has to vote for free money for yours.
