Resturant at Tierra Del Sol CC

I heard tonight the restaurant at the Tierra Del Sol CC has closed. Can anyone confirm this rumor?

CtButterfly 05-11-2016 09:16 PM

I believe it's being remodeled and will reopen as a dinner theater....

Mleeja 05-12-2016 07:33 AM

That is sad. This was a good place to have breakfast or lunch after playing the CC or the executive courses in the area.

See the story on the "other" news site about the plans that were revealed in last night developer's meeting at the Sharon. Sounds very nice.

I agree. It will reopen, renovated and repurposed. I have to guess that the lease was up and the very nice restaurant owner was thinking he was old enough to retire.

As bad as the service was it's no wonder that they went out of business. The food was mediocre at best, but the staff and management just didn't care about their customers.

We will miss Tierra Del Sol. It was close by, had a good breakfast, and a nice place to meet friends and have dinner. I do hope the owner enjoy his retirement.

The owner would frequently welcome our group and sit and chat with us. They had wonderful baked goods at breakfast and wonderful omelets.

The pastries were good. We always took a cherry danish or two to my father in the nursing home after sunday brunch. He really enjoyed them. Some of the breakfast foods could have been better but they did have good pizza. Now the closest breakfast places for us is Hacienda or Orange Blossum country clubs or Billy's Cafe which we enjoy.

:agree:

Some people prefer Rae Rae's on 441 but I prefer Billy's Cafe. Sonrise and Lil Bits, is another good place breakfast.

Hey Don, tell us how you get to Billy's Cafe by golf cart. :D

No way possible dude :(

This seems to put the golf course at a disadvantage. All the other CCs have a resturant when the players can grab a bit and perhaps an adult beverage after the round. Where do you go if you are playing Tierra CC?

Hacienda or Lopez Spanish Springs.

Bogie Shooter 05-12-2016 02:36 PM

Has it been written that lunch will no longer be available?

MickeyB2025 05-12-2016 03:37 PM

It seems odd they would not have at least a small area for breakfast, sandwiches and a bar area for the golfers. Is it certain that there will be no food and drinks available when it reopens?

Annie01 05-13-2016 03:02 AM

from what i heard they are keeping the bar there…for the golfers…not sure…but thats what i heard…….i guess the golfers have meetings there along with a beer…sounds good to me !!!

It will reopen as "The Studio" Dinner Theater.

It was very popular on "singing server " nights, and very enjoyable.

I think Bill D. is looking for a new venue for his Singing Servers.

That is not correct. He had several years left on the lease.

Nope, the developer let Jacquie and Peter finish the winter season and took over the restaurant for Mark's daughter, Whitney to have a small theater to run besides The Sharon.

Most golfers will likely just go home. I do wonder if no available restaurant will lower the number of rounds played on the golf course. Time will tell.

JGVillages 05-16-2016 04:51 PM

Because it will be a Dinner Theatre possibly it will be open also for lunch prior to the evening shows?????

They own the Dinner Theater and they own the golf course. What are you worrying about?

TomOB 05-17-2016 08:37 AM

When Orange Blossom was closed for renovation, we just brought a big cooler and had beer in the parking lot after golf.
