Trump Takes on the NRA
Trump To Meet With NRA About Barring Those On No Fly List From Buying Guns
Donald Trump will be speaking with the NRA today about supporting a ban on gun sales to people on the no-fly, watch list. Stand-by to see if the NRA tries to walk back their endorsement of Trump. Democrats are proposing a 'no fly-no-buy law' also today. |
Don't be surpised if this no fly no buy gets passed with the NRA and Trump taking bows together.
It is a very do-able least risk position to support....showing some action that make sense...being taken. |
When proposed by President Obama, the no fly-no buy idea was shouted down by the NRA and most Republicans.
|
Heck, why worry about the Constitution when we can pass stupid, do-nothing legislature during a heated moment? Instead of blaming radicals and faulting politicians as we should, we will blame the very guns that will ultimately protect us from those that wish to take our freedom and liberty from us.
Trump is speaking with NRA to see what is a practical solution to approach when/after he is elected. Don't worry, Trump is not going to step on Obambie's slip. |
Too bad we can't hire these radical Islamists to go into the Chicago ghetto and clean it out. OH, that's right they have guns up there and will fight back. Well, when they eventually DO take our guns away, at least the ghettos will be safe. Kind of ironic, isn't it?

Even if they were declared illegal to have all we would have to do is nothing and keep our guns just like the criminal elements and illegals do today. I naturally assume lack of enforcement of the laws would be in continuence......even for white, armed, honest, tax paying Americans. |

The no fly/no buy law would only ban people on the no fly/watch list from buying guns. If all the posters above are on the no fly list, we have bigger problems in The Villages.
|
If I understand it correctly the way it stands, you can be put on the no fly list without due cause,
and if you were put on it, you might find it near impossible to get off it! |
First it is the no fly list. Then it will be look a like wannabe assault rifles. Then it will be any semi-automatic rifle. Then it will be any semi-automatic pistol. Or maybe all magazines capable of holding more than ten rounds. Then it will be banning of all concealed carry. Some states banned all concealed carry of knives. Some states have banned carrying any knife over three inches in length. Good luck when you say that not allowing someone on the no fly list to purchase a fire arm, is no big deal. When has someone on the no-fly list ever committed these mass shootings? This guy was taken off the no-fly list. SO, unless I am mistaken, NONE. Liberals love to get one little inch in there so that the mile they are looking for will be easier to obtain. You liberals want to take cars away to prevent drunk driving.

Is there a no buy list? |

It will be interesting to see what comes from this NRA meeting. Will Trump say that is not what he meant and the liberal press smeared him? Will he have a backbone to tell the NRA he is not walking this back? I am betting on option number 1. :1rotfl: |

The title of the thread is misleading. It says Trump takes on the NRA, when the point is that he went to the NRA to discuss ideas, not "take on."

How many people have the SAME name? They don't have/use a SS number, so HOW do they KNOW who is who? I think it's a bunch of BS, the whole "list". Quote:

"They'll never take our guns away." Doesn't that sound a bit like the three most prevalent promises?
Got news for you. It's already starting. Limit the type of gun you can have. Limit the number of rounds such gun can hold in it's magazine. And now, a court just decided that the Constitution does not protect concealed carry. Jun 10, 2016 "(CNN)A federal appeals court ruled on Thursday that there is no Second Amendment protection for concealed weapons -- allowing states to prohibit or restrict the public from carrying concealed firearms." Just one of many reasons we need to keep a liberal out of the White House this election. |

Cuz the NRA says so. LZ |

I thought you right wing nuts always want to give power to State government. Now, a decision that says a state can determine concealed carry and you come crying to the Federal government. |
The thread is about Trump said he is going to meet with the NRA to tell them he is for not allowing gun sales to people on the no fly list.
The meeting has not happened yet. Will he do it? Probably not. Trump panders to the right wing nut groups. They are the only ones who support Adolph Trump. |

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump
I will be meeting with the NRA, who has endorsed me, about not allowing people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns. 9:50 AM - 15 Jun 2016 14,106 14,106 Retweets 45,976 45,976 likes How did the NRA get that powerful? Doesn't Trump want to meet with anyone in congress? |

Another question is if a Muslim is suspected of being a terrorist, based on what he said that was corroborated with his friends does his name go on a list? Some people want him deported. But the same people don't want his name on the list that would prohibit him from buying a gun because that would violate his rights.
Which is it? |

If there is no federal law regarding an issue, the state has the right to make regulations. If you want to get technical, then the 2nd Amendment says everyone can possess a firearm. It does not say anything about concealed carry or the type of firearm you are allowed to own. Of course, libtards feel that the first and second Amendments should be voided. |

Where did anyone say anything about the no-fly list being only for terrorists? They didn't, so you are being childish. And in this case, the animal that shot up the gay club was an American so you could NOT deport him. And please show me where any of the mass shootings we have had would have been avoided if we made a law regarding a no-fly list. None of the shooters were on the no-fly list so what it amounts to is a bunch of do-nothing libtards wanting to create another useless law in a knee jerk reaction. What a bunch of idiots. So, should a terrorist be deported of put on a list? Neither, I believe he should be shot and killed by someone on the scene that would have had a gun if the laws did not protect the killers in a gun free zone. |

They didn't. The list includes potentially dangerous people. None of the shooters were on the no-fly list so what it amounts to is a bunch of do-nothing libtards wanting to create another useless law in a knee jerk reaction. What a bunch of idiots. Marteen was taken off the list because he was no longer a threat. Was that a good idea? Do you think as we type the FBI isn't looking at everyone that has ever been put on the list and reevaluating? Are you and Trump in agreement when it comes to deportation? Neither, I believe he should be shot and killed by someone on the scene Like in Bonanza? |

We know NOTHING about this "shooting" in Orlando. Where is the video of INSIDE the club? Just like 9-11 and the Pentagon...there IS video, but it's being withheld. I smell ANOTHER rat. |
