TOTV Meet and Greet this Friday at Crispers
 

Please join DonH57 and I this Friday June 17th at 3pm for the TOTV monthly meet and greet. It is a great opportunity to meet, network or just enjoy the company of fellow TOTV posters. Because the heat and humidity are high I plan to meet inside Crispers, which is in the Southern Trace Shopping Center. As you go into the main entrance we will be on the right side, I'm sure you won't miss us. See you on Friday.

I should be there unless the crick rises!!!

I am so thrilled that it is this week. Have to be off Real Estate Duty by 2pm....got it. What a great feeling and thank you all for having a event like this. We're in.

I do not think that Crispers has anything with lobster in it; but if the Menu has changed make a post of it please.

After the November 2016 Election, I might show up for one of these Crispers' events again. I have not been to one for three of four years. I have been to maybe six of them before that.

It was my pleasure to meet Mr. Two Plane Kid today at the TOTV get together at Crispers. He is a warm, gentle spoken fellow from Ohio. I apologized for giving him so much grief. I hope soon he will see that nothing needs to be changed here. How can you improve on lower Paradise?

Mr. and Mrs. Nucky have arrived and had an offer accepted on a home here. There were many, many nice people who braved the heat to come to Crispers today. Many thanks once more to Bailey's Mom and her dear husband DonH57 who keep the meetings going.

It was particularly joyful for me to meet Mr. and Mrs DBussone in person. We had so many folks who were new to the group and the same warm and wonderful people who seem to always be there and make it so enjoyable.

We had a great gathering at Crispers, I think we had around 2 dozen attend. It was very nice meeting some of the new people.

Then we went and ordered some takeout from Crispers, and had a great dinner at home.

The chocolate shake I had while there was pretty much my dinner. I hadn't had a shake for probably 20 years. It was pretty tasty.

It was wonderful to meet the two of you and to finally be able to welcome you here. We G's are so glad to know you both and hope our friendship continues for a thousand years.

You had an exhausting day yesterday and accomplished a lot. In the future we will chat in air conditioning. It must have been over a hundred on that patio.

Sounds like a very enjoyable gathering. Mr. & Mrs. Justjim are in Illinois for the summer but will return this fall. We had plans to make it to a couple of the gatherings last winter but unexpected "things"....well, you know what I mean. We will try again!

I may pop into one of these before the one after the November elections.

I will have to see how things are going in my life and with the 224 613 Project and other stuff. With all the things I think that are going on it is hard to keep my head-- so to speak-- on straight. Google Taltarzac725 to find out why things are so intense at the moment. You do have to use some imagination and think about who I have contacted over the past 25.5 years since January 1991.

It is a very exciting but somewhat scary time. So glad I am in the Villages though with so many caring and questioning people.

I am at Doggie Doo Run Run almost every day. Different times though as I have to work with the weather and my schedule and so forth. And many of the people at Doggie Doo Run Run know me as I have been going there since November of 2006: January 2007 with my dog Sport. November 2006 while looking for leads for finding a pet. There are many nice people at DDRR and some of these also are on TOTV. You may not know that they are on TOTV when talking to them though.

Tal. I wish you would come to Crispers just once so I can shake your hand. I promise I won't hug you. Well maybe pat you on your back??? I have asked the kitties and they told me quite firmly they were not goin' to no dog park. That is exactly how they said it.

There are some feral cats at Doggie Doo Run Run but they have to avoid Chico, Rita, Rocky and their pals as well as all the dogs being boarded or those just visiting DDRR.

Chico and Rita trick the squirrels by coming at them from different directions like some canine Robert E. Lee.

KathieI once brought her dogs to DDRR a few years back but they did not get along very well with the other dogs.

We haven't checked in for quite a while. Sorry we missed the opportunity to meet you! Now that we live here full time, we're always busy. Hope to join you next time. I've admired all of you for so long!

What a feeling to meet those that you have interacted with for so long. Wonderful people all around,:eclipsee_gold_cup: how perfect. I hope to reach out and help other new people one day as you all made us feel so welcomed. A real thrill. :bowdown::pepper2: It was a little hot but I know you all are going to let me know the secret soon because nobody else was bleeding sweat. How do you all not sweat??? LOL.

Nucky - the first thing to remember is that women in the South don't sweat; they "glow." Second, just remember the old business saying: "Never let them see you sweat!"

So sorry this is late but I tried to post a thank you on Saturday and I guess I messed up because it is not here. :( Thanks to everyone who took time out of their busy day to join us at Crispers for the meet and greet. It was great to meet some new people and see the usual crew. Besides myself, DonH57, SuSuS, 2BNTV, Eileenny2tv, twoplanekid, DBussone and Doreen, T-325, Walmsley, PammyJ, DougB, Graciegirl, Henry. Heleene, Villagetinker, Countrygirl and Nucky were there. We also had Misty from Victory Cruises and a couple of guys from the local Rotary Club where there as well. Thanks again for the great time.

when are the meet and greets usually held? we're new here and would like to say hello to our neighbors.

Crsipers in Southern Trace Shopping Center near CR101 and CR466. Every third Friday of the month starting at 3:00 P.M.

This month it is Sepetmber 16, 2016 at Crispers starting at 3:00 PM. They usually last as long as the people have something to talk about. Which is usually about 5:00 PM.

Not sure if the Crisper's management had put a time limit on it if they need the tables for other customers.

I understand 2 people showed up for last month's gathering so perhaps Crisper's isn't too concerned.

This post was for the June's Crisper's meeting so don't get confused. The next one will be Friday, September 16th, at 3 PM.

I am sure Ellen will be posting the next meeting shortly.

People on vacation, heat, doctors appointments, life in The Villages. Luckily I just moved a doctor's appointment for the September meeting. Count us in. I'll bet you I can find Crispers now also! :2excited:
