Mad Man on a golf cart
 

This afternoon coming out of Laural Manor after a Dr's appointment there was a crazy man on a golf cart screaming and cursing at a person in another golf cart. I stopped as he was in the crossing area. to let him by. He then proceeded to curse and swear at me and my wife. Don't know what his problem was but he appears to have a real mental health problem. Safe to say he had better not run up against someone as crazy as he is.

It is the heat and humidity in FL during the summer. It makes people go mad.

Laural Manor is North....odds are he was probably one of them north of 466A people :)

Who ever it was either forgot his meds or was just without hope for any cure.

The way the guy was rantng and cursing was no where near being a joke.

I think we can all agree the problem people are mostly north of 466a and south of 466.

The guy was probably upset that the other cart was traveling at 21 mph.

I don't know about anybody else, but Where I come from we don't take too kindly to a person cursing and ranting at us for no reason. This guy is asking for trouble with a capital T! ��

yes your probably right, they didn't start giving mental health test when purchasing a house until south of 466a, JEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!

I think the problem is limited to the area between Jacksonville and Miami.

Probably a snowbird from NY who lives south of 466A..

Serious note
 

On a more serious note, the person OP mentioned likely does have a serious mental issue. This is not comforting but according to Google, Florida ranked 49th as a State in FY 2010 (latest statistics I could quickly find) per capita money spent on mental health. With the number of seniors we have, this is not a good thing IMHO. Just a thought.......

It may be that this individual was having some sort of medical or emotional crisis... Alzhemiers or something similar. I didnt 'see where anyone wrote that he may have needed assistance and called EMT, police etc.

My wife and daughter saw a man fall in parking lot (due to low blood pressure) he was bruised and bleeding no one would help him. One woman told him she was afraid he had AIDS and would not help him up. My wife and daughter helped him up cleaned him up bandaged him and didn't leave until they knew he was fine
