New Villages by 42
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know the names of the villages being built by Mulberry area? (42) |
I have heard the developer talk about it at meetings and the only names used at that time were “East & West”.
|
Only know they will all be Courtyard Villas, approx 150 next the VA and another 150 over by the Baptist Church. Looks like the infra structure is well underway now, also not sure when actual home construction will begin.
|
I hope they reveal the train noise on the site two properties over from the church west on 42. If not some who don't like noise will be in for shock when hear train come roaring by 5 To 10 times night.

People looking at a house near a train track may not be aware of the track because no train comes by when they see the property. That is why potential property owners should definitely be told about the train track. Of course, one of the most famous houses on TV is right next to a train track. I am referring to the one where the great Honey Boo-Boo lives. |
Not really

Village To be named "Cram Them In"
|
Cram them in, look @ the community off of 466a just past micro racetrack-- A singer/writer Malvina Reynolds had song that describes that area precisely (Little Boxes)
honestly looks like post war Levitt Town and similar communities--zero lot line clearance |
This is all from memory from reading various articles in the Sun. The CYV's will be part of existing villages. That's why there was a delay, because those villages wanted additional rec centers, pools and executive courses built in their area because 500 to 600 new residents would burden the existing facilities. A couple of months ago they agreed on some sort of deal and construction had started.
Next to the VA they will build 180 units and to enter TV they have a entrance into the parking lot by the VA facility, they won't be able to enter directly onto a street but through the shopping center. On the otherside near the Police station will be built 120 units and I believe they will have an entrance in Calumet Grove Village. |

"Cram them in", might be a proper response if you were adding 300 designer homes, but these are all courtyard villas. CYV's are built in a community cluster, they have standard yard size and home designs throughout TV. In this Marion County situation the 300 units are divided into two CYV communities, one 180 and the other 120. I live in a CYV community and don't feel crammed in.
If you want to see 300 CYV's in one cluster in one small area, go to the foot of the Morse Bridge and look at Haciendas of Mission Hills. They have 300 units and prices were in the $300K to $450K range and beyond. They might appear crammed in from the distance, but take a look inside. http://photos3.zillowstatic.com/p_c/...1000000000.jpg Here is a CYV at Mission Hills that is for rent, you can stay here for as little as one night for $214. Remember, this is the CYV community that has 300 units crammed in. https://imagesus-ssl.homeaway.com/md...6f4404f09.1.10 https://www.****.com/374405 |
