Favorite meal at BoneFish.

We almost always get the Sea Scallops and Shrimp.

I was thinking about getting something with lobster but that is Nucky, Barefoot, Golfing Eagles, and dbussone's fault.

:mmmm::mmmm: :wave:

Of course! I'd be surprised to find anyone who doesn't love bang-bang shrimp. :icon_hungry::mmmm:

Hmmmm sound pretty good. I have yet to see the menu at the Bone...that's because its so dark. I let the waiter/waitress order for me... it has worked so far.

It is very dark in there and last night I think we had the darkest table. Probably so that Golfing Eagles, Barefoot and the group could not see me eating lobster and getting jealous.

Just kidding.

You can often see the menu online. https://www.bonefishgrill.com/dinner...d-grilled-fish

Bang Wednesday
Spice up the middle of your week with our signature appetizer. Bang Bang Shrimp is just $6 every Wednesday.

Prices, product availability, participation and hours may vary by location.

This does bring a crowd to Bonefish Grill.

I start with Bang Bang, then have the Corn Chowder with Mussels as an entree.:icon_hungry:

I love Bang Bang Shrimp on top of a side salad. Next favorite definitely the Chilean Sea Bass.

May sound crazy, but Bonefish has the best steaks in TV. Or.. wait for Hemingways to advertise they have Hogfish (the panko offering). Best seafood dish ever!

Taltarzac725 06-30-2016 04:05 PM

Anyone know if a second Bonefish Grill is opening in the Villages?

OpusX1 06-30-2016 04:18 PM

I love hogfish. Get it in Key West every year when we are there.

I sometimes wonder if the fish we order at a restaurant, is actually what you're getting on your plate. Some interesting reading about the mislabeling of seafood.

Bad link below. Just search Escola on wikipedia.

Grouper, which is one of the best tasting fish is a large, round, fish and the fillets are usually more then 3/4" thick. If they give you a fillet thinner then it probably isn't grouper which I've read is one of the most substituted fish.
Unless you catch it and cook it yourself, then you don't know what you're getting.

Grouper is the best. Wild grouper is seasonal nowadays in many restaurants.

Bonefish has been shutting down restaurants, the younger generation has a real dislike of all chain restaurants. I honestly prefer local good restaurants- I gone to a chain when I'm really desperate for consistency

Really like those informative comments. Sonnys is good too. Panera is good but sometimes the soups are salty. And sadly, TooJay has really dropped in quality and service for some reason, got burned two times, no more.
Perkins 5 dollar breakfasts are really outstanding, at Spanish Springs unit.

Closed 14, opened 9, 200 remaining. Hardly a death knell. Not a fan of chains, but Bonefish is the best seafood around. Heading to Sanibel for the 4th for some fresh gulf seafood (and fireworks). BTW, no chain restaurants allowed on that island except for Dairy Queen which is grandfathered.

You should Google "Chilean Sea Bass" and look at a picture of it. The real name is Patagonian Toothfish and it used to be a trash fish just tossed back from fishing nets. Some market experts began buying the fish and calling it Chilean Sea Bass and the "in crowds" began loving it mainly because of the market hype.

It is now overfished and, while not endangered, is not a sustainable fish. Ocean Watch recommends not ordering it.
