Trashing our Flag on the 4th
The Lady 2 doors down, that puts her garbage and trash in the street, just walked buy with her dog, and she stopped at my American flag, and let her dog **** on it!
We see where her head is at….. |
Where was your flag that the dog could get at it? Did you say anything to her?
|
I don't think that was a 'lady ' .
|
Many of my neighbors and myself have the small flags lining our driveways all the way down to the street, and along the street, so I guess the dog walker exercised her right to be a complete careless idiot, and let her dog do its thing. I am very lucky, as there must be well over a dozen dogs in my immediate neighborhood, and ALL of them are very careful about where their dogs go and cleaning up after them.
OP, I have seen some motion activated ultrasonic dog avoidance devices, maybe 1 or 2 of these positioned on your lawn and the dog will learn to avoid it. |
Sounds like a no brainer dog person, I have two dogs, that only wants to let the dog piZZ off her yard.
|
Not saying this is true about this lady....but I know of a woman who has dementia and walks her dog occassionally. MIGHT be the case here as well!! Though I'd still be angry!!
|
Although it may look nice ,and those that do it may feel patriotic, I've never understood putting any flag so close to the ground that things like this could happen. Cemeteries may be the only place this display should occur. There aren't any dogs walking around cemeteries. There aren't cars driving by and splashing water and dirt onto the flags during a storm.,and hopefully caretakers of the property aren't allowing the flags to touch the ground. Also the American flag isn't supposed to be flown lower than any flag in its vicinity.
Regardless of how I feel if someone is allowing a dog to relieve itself on a flag something is terribly off with this person. IMHO |
I've place such flags along my driveway for a umber of years and never have I had a need to replace them??????

Not sure how a dog relieving itself falls into that decision...but somehow, i doubt this incident will be heard by the Supreme Court. |

Any know of any legal cases on this??? |

The "lady" controlled the leash If you wire your neighbors house with explosives then put the detonator ready to go where your dog walks, the dog is not the perpetrator I believe the legal standard is whether the reasonably prudent individual could forsee the circumstance |
The good thing is we are more than a flag.

Not the dogs fault, folks. They go wherever their owners let them go; call the owners out. I do my best to get my "girls" to go in our yard before we start on our walk. |

Sorry but of all the things in one's life to worry about, this appears to be the last issue I would be concerned with, GEE at this stage in ALL our lives, worry about the real issues, you better enjoy each day you have and make the most of it, we all are on a time table now!
