Hillary Understands

I'm watching a speech by Hillary broadcasting live. She was explaining how she understood the economic inequalities in America. Although I'm not surprised a lot of Americans are hanging on every word. Someone who earns a quarter of a million dollars for a :45 speech, an amount some working people in this country would take 10 years to earn, shouldn't be even entering this discussion. Just for record I am not a Trump supporter, I'm writing in Mitch Daniels from Indiana.

What does that have to do with anything? A baseball player paid $55 million a year can still understand what it is like to bat at a baseball thrown by a college player paid nothing.

She sounded a lot better than Donald Trump whose hate filled rhetoric has already done a lot of damage to this country.

The Clintons only become interested in income inequality during election season. In all her years of public service, what has she done to solve the income inequality problem - NOTHING! She even pays her female staff less than her male staff.

It's supply and demand. If no one is willing to pay that fee then there is no work.

Have you seen the prices of broadway tickets?
Hamilton tickets
StubHub!'

What is the price of admission to see a Stones Concert?
2016 Desert Trip - 3 Day Pass (10/7 - 10/9) (Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Roger Waters) Indio Tickets - 10/7/2016 5:59 PM | Vivid Seats

I would rather see Hamilton or the Stones but if I was one of the 580 billionaires I could see them all and so could all of my ancestors for all times.

While i was writing you probably got a few wealth envy remarks.

Gender Pay Gap in Clinton’s Senate Office?

From your source:

"But annual salary data provided by the Clinton campaign show median salaries for men and women in Clinton’s office were virtually identical."

The bold underlined print says it all. Who would take the word of a known lair as being fact?

"A comparison of both data sets shows that those who only worked part of the year represent a little over half of the men and women who worked in Clinton’s Senate office that year. Among those who only worked part of the fiscal year, and would not have counted in the Free Beacon analysis, the average and median salaries were higher for women. The median annual salary for women who worked only part of the year was $38,000, compared with $35,000 for men, our analysis of the Clinton salary database showed. The Clinton campaign argues that including those who only worked part of the year makes more sense, because it shows that women and men were offered comparable salaries."

So, women were actually getting paid MORE than men, how is that pay equality? Seems to me that the men who worked for Hillary were treated unfairly in terms of monetary compensation. Don't you agree?

The Pew "Research Center, for example, did estimates based on hourly earnings of both full- and part-time workers and found that women earn 84 percent of what men earn. Why? According to Pew’s surveys, women were more likely to take career interruptions to care for their family, which can hurt long-term earnings. In addition, Pew noted, “women as a whole continue to work in lower-paying occupations than men do.” And last, Pew noted “some part of the pay gap may also be due to gender discrimination.” Women were nearly twice as likely as men to report that they had been discriminated against at work because of their gender."

I think it is unrealistic to think that in all cases the salaries will be equal for many different reasons.

Guest 07-13-2016 06:40 PM

Hillary is just blowing smoke up everyone's posterior when she promises to make women's wages equal. They already are equal. If a woman is doing the same job, she gets paid the same. It's federal law. So, if anyone wishes to listen to her, they need to keep this in mind when she is moving her lips. SHE IS A LIAR, ALWAYS HAS BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE.......until she drops dead...hopefully sooner, rather than later.

Naive is perhaps a better description of liberals than "open minded". I have also found that while liberals claim to be open minded, they are not open minded when it comes to dissenting opinions, ideas, views and ideology.

Gender Pay Gap in Clinton’s Senate Office?

I would vote for Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump no matter who Trump puts in as his Vice President. I have no trust in that con man who will probably be impeached quite soon if he for some strange reason becomes President of the United States.

I just hope they move on the Trump University case and I have some option other than Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.

I have not heard Trump say he "hates" anyone. I guess your liberal talking points need to be updated. Are you sure you are not using 2008 campaign talking points?

I have heard Trump say that he loves the Military, the Police, the firefighters, etc. I have heard him say that he wants to make America great again, after Obama goes on his "apology" tours and disparages America. I have heard Trump say he wishes to protect our manufacturing industry. I have heard him say he wishes to reduce crime in America. I have heard him mention that he wants to protect national security (unlike Hillary's disregard for the same). So, say again where you heard him say he "hates" anyone?

Guest 07-14-2016 05:11 AM

My focus has always been about "we the people". I would not and have never supported anyone irrespective of label that did not have this nation's interest at heart. Despite the 24/7 spin if a voter looks objectively s/he will be able to see the real person behind the mask.

I am saddened that our trusted leaders thought so little of "we the little people" that they concocted a weak accounting of why Hillary should not be charged. This sort of corruption is natural to Russia, /China, /cuba or other Latin American countries but America.

People are out in the streets protesting Trump, cops etc but not one protest surrounding the inside cover up job conducted by our president, attorney general and top cop...where is the outrage

I'll put it this way. If I was at work and I didn't like the philosophy or decision of the boss at that time, I could discuss that with my friends at lunch. Some friends would agree and some would disagree, but none of us wanted him dead.

There were others who wanted him dead but they weren't my friends. They had no moral compass.

BLM line the streets and demand death to police. Which of the two do you think they will be voting for? These are supposed liberals and will vote for Hillary. Hillary tells us in her speeches that "whites" need to understand blacks." She sympathizes with BLM and she endorses their violent behavior.
