I found this name and number on one of the older threads here ;) Linda's Alterations, Wildwood. (352) 748-2805

Also this one:Rosalie 352-750-2093. She runs "Sew Neat by Rosalie" out of her home in Hadley.

Wrong Number
 

I called this number a woman said she wasn't Rosalie and hung up. I called Lindas alterations and left a message yesterday and no return call. Anyone else have a recommendation? Len & Mary

Not in The Villages but there is a booth at The Markets of Marion (Flea Market) that does alterations. Never used them so I can't say if they are good or bad.

Look in the "Daily Sun" Service Directory. Two ads today under Sewing/Embroidery. One: "NY Tailoring - FL Prices", 631-431-5855. The other, "Former Fashion Designer, Alterations," 352-259-2609.

The Dry Cleaners in the Pinellas Plaza by Winn Dixie sends things out for alterations. I had a zipper repair done there and they did an excellent job!

Try Linda again. She has done some work for me recently and does a great job.

Liz from NY tailoring picked up our things yesterday. Never did get a call from Linda since Wed.

Maybe Linda is on vacation or is not feeling very well. I don't know this Linda but maybe there is a good reason why she is calling people back just yet.

There is a shop in the mall in Wildwood (between ACE hardware and the post office) that has alterations listed on their window display.

Does anyone know Rosalie's phone number? We are out of the country and I need to find out if she found my slacks that I gave her. She was to shorten four pair, gave me back two and could not find the other two when we had to leave.

Linda in Wildwood is no longer in business. She is very very ill. She was wonderfull. 1/18/2017 update

Bad Experience with Rosalie
 

I am sorry to say that my dealings with Rosalie were not positive.
I have spoken with the police about what occurred and they said I was to trusting. I did not get a receipt from her, nor did I make a notation on my check what the amount was for.

I gave her size 16 silk lined Talbot slacks. She gave me back size 18 slacks, that were of a brand I never heard of.

I am now in the process of handling this matter through other means.

I bought a suit at Belk's and there is an independent contractor named Cindy. She works on Tuesday 10:30 AM to 12 PM and Thursday from 4:30 PM to 6 PM. She is station at the Customer Service desk counter just to the right on the main entrance.

Been doing alterations for 30 years. Turnaround time is usually two days. Brought my suit in on Tuesday and I got my the suit back on Thursday. Very pleasant and does good work.
