Let me ask for for your assistance, please, in welcoming new debaters. Many may not feel welcome because you all seem to understand things the rest of us don't. Acronyms!

If you don't use unrecognizable acronyms, I would hope that more people would ultimately jump in and post their thoughts. Those acronyms have a clubby sound, but even worse, we don't know what you mean.

FBI? We know that.
CIA? No problem.
GOP? Got it.
MSM? We outsiders have no idea.

Please take the extra five seconds to spell them out at least once in a post.

Have pity on we political neophytes. Now I'm getting out of the political forum.

I finally figured out POTUS. But it took a long time. So Kathie, please do not feel like the Lone Ranger. I bet there is a little dictionary of political acronyms out there somewhere.

I had to laugh when I awoke in the middle of the night and yelled, "EUREKA! IT MEANS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!"

I can sure operate in a fog sometimes. Or in a hurry.
